I feel like you get more of ***SPOILER ALERT*** crystals story in this book & see her journey to sobriety which is a crazy & emotional ride. Crissy is still going through hell but there’s a couple of plot twist with Crissy & Keys that I didn’t see coming. Overall well done. 

The emotional roller coaster this book took me on was insane 🥴 One minute things were good then boom things pop off & go downhill. My sis Crissy just can’t catch a break. Oh & Keys is added to the list of MMCs with the utmost audacity cause bffr. 

The story of Brian & Makayla was extremely beautiful. The character growth of Makayla was amazing & brought me to tears. Makayla had been going through hell since she was 15/16 but Brian was going through his own version of hell too because the woman that was meant to be his forever had nooo recollection of him or who he was but that didn’t stop him from looking for her, finding her, & loving her. Brian loved Makayla in a soft like manner. He made sure that he reassured her, that she felt safe & comfortable. This book was easily 5 stars. Also the two little plot twists ma’am 😲

This was a wild ride. Jackson/Hyde was unhinged af. When he was Hyde he literally did not care about nothing but revenge & his little dove. I loved how despite him being dark, unhinged, etc. he still was able to show a little romance towards Ava. I also like how the character growth with Ava was different in this book compared to other romance books. Ava was able to step into who she was & stop running from it & stop being scared of it. Hyde was determined to make her see who she was & for her to be that person. 

At times it seemed as though someone with ADHD wrote this book. It’s like the author started with one thought got a new thought & started writing the new thought before finishing the original thought. The plot kind of seemed all over the place as well.

This book will have you questioning yourself but in a good way (in my opinion). This book is thought provoking & is meant to make you ask questions that you normally wouldn’t. I feel like this book is a good book for a book club or group read. The way the book was written & the flow was really well. 

I love a book where the FMC gets her lick back even though in this one it wasn’t intentional. I do wish would’ve went a little harder when getting her lick back but this story & Rhythms process is more realistic because a lot of women struggle with leaving a relationship and/or getting with someone new. The flow of this story was authentic. 

I also learned that I cringe when a woman calls a man “good boy” during fun time. New ick unlocked. 

Not my favorite of the series or from the Cambridge stories but it was still good. I feel like we could’ve been giving more. Like what happened with the trip? Did yoni stay on parole? What happened to Des’s frozen kids? But still overall it was good. 

The plot continues. At this point I’ve read several books/series by Elle Kayson but the plot of this series is probably the best that she’s written in my opinion. The intricacy & how everything ties together is really amazing. The pace of the plot is the perfect speed too it’s not rushed but it’s also not overly drawn out either. I really enjoyed this one.
