Why tf does this end on a cliffhanger when it’s over 400 pages???? That aside the book is good. There are multiple POVs & different plot lines. Also two of the MMCs do cheat on their significant other (1 full on cheats the other one sort kind of cheats being as they’re in an open relationship but he spins the block outside of the agreement).

This was a good IR dark mafia romance. Alrxandur was psycho fr. He was unhinged in the best way. One major thing I liked about this book is there was no third act breakup. Also disclaimer; the book does end on a cliffhanger but it’s a cliffhanger for the next book/different couple but the plot isn’t wrapped up entirely in this one but that doesn’t affect the goodness of anything in this book at all. I still give it 5 stars.

Ain’t nothing like a woman that gets on her bag & don’t depend on a man for nothing. Alaska was very confident in who she was & wasn’t ashamed of her lifestyle. Memphis was the definition of toxic, rude & unfiltered. The banter between the two was funny & good entertainment.

Anissa & Khalil were friends who loved to blur the lines when they were younger but Khalil would never officially claim Anissa as his girlfriend then one day he breaks her heart & leaves her. Now almost 20 years later he finally sees her & immediately applies pressure. He will stop at nothing to get his woman back…This book was sooo good. We got to see how the two were as kids with short flashbacks but mainly we got to see them as two grown individuals who are navigating various things in life while also trying to heal the hurt that was caused when Khalil left & work on getting back with each other. This story was funny, beautiful, drama filled, a little angst & it’s everything. I can’t wait to see what Elle does next.

This book was good but also a lot of it was unnecessary. The book was good in the sense of it provoked emotions & reactions from me while reading the book, it provided background on the two main characters individually but also them as a unit. However, them chapters didn’t need to be that long & the two spent waaaaaaay too much time playing in each others faces. I also feel like the transition from them being friends to lovers wasn’t as smooth or organic as I would have liked but I still see the vision & I get it.

This book started off hilarious as all get out & you honestly thought the plot was going one way then about 50-60% it shifts & twists start happening. There was a little confusion for me towards the end but I’ve been up for 24 hours so it could be user error 🥴 The book is good though & everything is connecting to each other. When the plot shift happens I was initially genuinely confused & almost DNF’d but I kept going & puzzle pieces started coming together.
