Second chance romance mixed with sports romance. If you read book 1 in this series then this book is on the same timeline as that one so some of the scenes overlap but nothing is repetitive. This book was good but baby Nicole aka Nicki aka Cole got on my last nerves because baby you acting like this man is a stranger or something. The relationship, chemistry & love is not new so stop trying to act brand new but at the same time I understand the fact that loving somebody as a teen or young adult is different than loving somebody as an adult with life experience. 

This was a quick, cute, sports romance read. Revolving around a soccer player, Graycen, and a photographer named Camille. I didn’t expect this book to be as spicy as it was for some reason but it was spicy.

This is book 2 in the Atlanta demons series I would RECOMMEND that you read Fair trade first but you don’t have to. This book definitely a slow burn. It’s waaaay slower than the previous book but it also works for the characters. Both deuce & kova had individual things going on that they needed to at least get some type of control on before they even considered the idea of being together. It was like they focused on their personal problems and once the problems was resolved then they started entertaining the idea of being together. 

My main dislike about this book is that there was 4 main characters in this book & every last one of them had some type of self-loathing like woah is me type of issues. Some times it came off like they took turns blaming themselves for something that could happen & they took turns wanting to run away. Other than that, the book was good & very much spicy. 

These two had a random but cute meet cute, lol. Also I loved how DaVinci wanted to be in her presence & get to know her sooo bad that he did what he had to do. It gave me the vibe of a schoolboy that has a crush on a girl it was really cute. The only thing that I didn’t like about the book was that for this to be a sports romance (boxing being the sport) we only got one boxing scene but that’s fine cause there are scenes of him prepping for the big match. 

This book was soooo good. The storyline was soo good & never felt like it was dragging or like it didn’t make sense. I loved how both Jrue & Jream had their own separate issues but allowed the other to help them out & be there for them. The character growth in Jrue was really unexpected. I really thought he was gone cut everybody off & I honestly wouldn’t have been mad at it. But the alternative that was shown showed that communication can go a looong way & how two ppl can have different emotions about a situation they were both in. This book was soo freaking good & I get the feeling that Jreams issue is going to somewhat overflow into Deuces book & I can’t wait. 

This book was sooo cute & it had a meet cute. Xander & Somaya both went through things prior to meeting each other that changed the person they were & even the parent that they were. I loved the vitiligo representation in this story which I haven’t seen a lot of in books especially in a young girl. The kids was probably my favorite in this book. I also loved seeing one of my favorite families in this book (the Jareau’s).

This book wasn’t bad but I don’t think it met my expectations like I wanted it to. I’ve read other beauty and the beast retellings & this one just isn’t a favorite. This book is an extremely slow burn plot wise & spice wise. It was okay. Nothing too special or anything in my opinion. 

This is the perfect Wrapup/conclusion to Cappadonna & Alaina’s story while also setting up Capri (& hopefully meer)’s story. Also listennn Alaia surprised the mess outta me in this book babygirl showed that she has a few screws missing just like her husband & about her husband & her family baby good girl Alaia can & will get active. I loved it. 

If you’re just getting into urban romance or want something that’s urban romance but mild this is the book for you. If you’re looking for an urban romance that’s a palette cleanser then this is the book for you. I wouldn’t classify smoke as unhinged or anything but he doesn’t tolerate disrespect from anybody. Kaori (aka KK) pissed me clean off in the beginning cause ma’am be fr. But all in all this book was good.
