What in the Kirk, Rasheeda & Jasmine; Mimi, Joseline & Stevie J; Tara, Amina & Peter was going in this book & the last one??!!! I’m not gone say nothing but if you like the drama of reality tv like love & hiphop then you’ll love this. Cause this book is exactly like that minus the hiphop/music. 

This was pure mess!!!! This was a love triangle where all 3 ppl were narcissists & manipulative af. As the female in the triangle Yaya had the power but she failed at using her power for her benefit. She really irked my nerves. Then Romeo almost made me dnf the book cause ain’t no way you THAT ninja & you begging to be a side dude my fav MMC’s would NEVERRRR. However, this book was so messy I couldn’t stop reading, Lmao. 

Up until the end this book was like a 4.5 star read. The ending made me feel like the author struggled with if she wanted to give one of the couples an HEA & then decided at the last minute that she would so she just put it in the epilogue. I feel like if she wanted them to have an HEA their story could’ve been written slightly differently. I loved the overall plot & the characters though. There is minor editing errors as well (those types of things don’t bother me too much but fyi). 

Imagine being in love with your best friends wife for years & then he dies but you’re scared to take the necessary leap. Imagine thinking your husbands best friends hates you & always has but in reality he doesn’t hate you he’s just secretly in love with you. This book was angsty af. To see the story of Dom & Sloane unfold was really good. 

If you don’t like insta love then this is definitely not the book for you. Xander seen Zara that first time &  I was like dang who is she? That second time he seen her oh baby that was his wife & he refused to let up. This book is fast paced with minimal drama it mainly kept me laughing at Xander’s antics. I legit wanted more of this

I’m a grey huffington Stan I looooove her full length novels. Another disclaimer: I’m not a short story or novella girlie (I prefer at minimum 180 words but really 200 words). Wtbs: I think for a short story this did exactly what it was supposed to do. It’s a quick friends to lovers romance that gets straight to the plot with no filler pages or words, etc. but it still had the descriptive writing style that Greg Huffington possesses. The major thing that almost turned me off was that she called Lennox sperm minions I Almost lost it 😂 

This was my first time reading this author and she did not disappoint at all. This book is a slow burn & the plot spans over a year. I feel like the pacing of the book matched the plot & actually showed the growth of Ella & the growth of Ella & Julian. I also loved that this felt like a romcom. I could definitely picture this being like a cheesy (in a good way) romcom movie or series that ends up being a comfort show or movie. This book focuses on love after loss (the loss being loss of marriage), it’s a reverse age gap, single mom, young billionaire bachelor. This book was really good & I enjoyed it. 

This book was a really good romantic suspense that featured the second chance romance trope. The suspense factor was definitely present in this book. The balance of the romance & the suspense portions of the plot was good. 

Friend you did that!!! First of all the prologue reminded me of how prologues used to be when I first started reading. People don’t do prologues like that anymore but I like when the prologue is the middle of the mess & then we go back to see how we ended up there. You gone always touch on mental health in some way & I love that continue to do that. I feel like this book was a good quick introduction read.

This book was soooo freaking good. Jada will always be my favorite dandrige Monroe character but Nyima may be a close second. The way she elgantly & classily chewed them folks out & whooped 🍑 Jahmir AKA priest did not disappoint either. He was very much so calculated in everything he did but he also made it know when it came to his wife disrespect & foolishness would not be tolerated. I loved this.
