Even though I called this major plot twist back in book one I was still shocked I guess because I didn’t expect it to play out how it did. I will say this book seemed to be at a slower pace than the previous book which isn’t really a bad thing 🤷🏾‍♀️

Disclaimer: I very RARELY read third pov but this one right here I ate it upppppp!!! This is my first time reading anything by Briann & if all her books give this vibe then this series definitely won’t be the last. I liked the fact that the first couple of chapters started out with the main characters in their senior year to establish the characters, their story’s & predict the relationships before fast forwarding 3 year when everybody’s grown grown. Slight spoiler I think Orianna shadier than the shade tree but I’m about to go finish book 2

This book was good I just felt like the transitions was super abrupt & would have you feeling confused. Like one minute he hunching another woman & telling her his situation is fake & he don’t even like Jahnae like that then on the next page he in love with her. There was no build up to that or no indication that there could’ve been a small time jump or anything. The same thing happens at the end.

This was some lowkey mess. There was romance, all kinds of betrayal, healing of trauma, etc. the main thing that I didn’t like was that some things was exaggerated for lack of better word. For example, it would be like Nasir got in the car drove to the house cut the car off got out of the car walked around and opened the door for Joy then they walked up to the building, etc. It was wordy & unnecessary to me but other than that it was really good. 

Baaaaabyyyyy this book was sooo good!!!! If you see Shaun/Gatah send him my way please & thank you!!! This book is filled with romance & suspense. It’s equal parts plot & spice. I loved the sneak peak into Stephan’s book. This was sooo good. 

When an unconventional & chance encounter leads you to your peace. Dreaux was literally on his way to the pearly gates when he seen an angel that saved him. Come to find out that angel was Asya who was literally this man’s peace. This story was really good & cute & I can’t wait to dive more into other characters story

These two took forever to just get together but at the same time I think it was necessary. The way Supreme stepped up for “his” kids was adorable. 

One thing K.C. Mills can & will do is write a beautiful love story. I loved the softness that was presented in this story. I loved the balance of trauma, grief, “flaws” between both characters because it allowed them to love each other the way the other deserved & needed. This was a really good read & I now I need to get this beautiful cover in physical form 😍

This was a cute brothers best friend romance ft. Small town romance. There was nooo drama or third act breakup at all. I loved the two main characters & their chemistry & dynamic.
