I wasn't really sure what to think of Stork when I picked it up. I know this probably going to get a mean comment or two- but I am really not the biggest fan of babies in my books. It is just not something I would prefer to read about. But I love all things magical and magic plus some mystery sounded too good for me to pass up. I am so glad that I gave Stork a try. I loved it!! It was seriously great.

I devoured this book so fast. I started reading and before I knew it, I was done. Looking back I wish I had went a little slower so I could still be reading Stork. I couldn't help myself though, I was that absorbed in the story. Katla was such a cool character. I liked that she wasn't perfect. She was opinionated, stubborn, and maybe a little stuck up about clothes and accessories. And I loved everything about her. Too many books now have perfect main characters, which is not realistic. I liked that Katla was a little snobby. It made her realistic.

And oh boy did I like Jack. He seemed so distant at first and I was instantly intrigued. I wanted to know his story! And Wendy Delsol made me wait until almost the end of the book to finally figure him out. But he was a great character- strong, dependable, cute, and mysterious. Just like Katla got under Jack's skin, he got under my skin. For the whole story I could not shake him.

I just read the description for book 2, Frost, and I need to read it ASAP! I already know I am going to hate this new girl and I am dreading seeing Jack led astray. I need to see how this will all turn out. This has all the makings of being an awesome trilogy! I can't wait to see what is in store next for the Storks, Katla and Jack. Wonderful book- go read it now!1

I really enjoyed Farsighted. I have been so into superpowers and books that center around them lately. This is a great addition to the genre. Farsighted is mysterious, suspenseful, intriguing, and action packed. It also doesn't hurt that it is so well written. A great book overall.

Alex is an unlikely main character to have super powers and play the Hero. He is blind. He hasn't had many friends and he doesn't even know what is happening to him. But still, he is everything you would expect a great hero to be. He is brave, and loyal and does the right thing. He is really a great guy. I really felt for him with everything he had to go through. All the bullying and alienation. It must have been so tough. That's why I was so very happy when he finally stood up for himself- even if it did get him in trouble.

What I liked the most about farsighted was how complex the book was. It just kept revealing new secrets to me. I thought I knew everything that was going on and then the book would peel back a new layer and there would be something new in the mix. It was a really engaging read. I loved that about it.

I really liked Simmi and Shapri. I think there are going to be many more great moments with them(plus alex) to come. I can't wait to see what is going to happen here. I honestly have no idea what I even want to happen with them. I have been back and forth between the two girls a few times.

I can't wait to see what is in store for everyone next. There are so many powers to be developed and so much more to learn about the characters. I particularly want to learn more about Alex's dad and Dax.

Farsighted is a great book. It also has these cool runes and riddles at the start of each chapter. Im a sucker for riddles so I tried to figure each of them out before I read the chapters. It was a fun addition to the book. Farsighted stands well on its own, and yet it is also a great start to a series. I like that in a book. One that fits into a series but also is a complete book by itself.

Stay Tuned is such a refreshing read. I don't read enough contemporary as it is, and when I do pick up contemporary it tends to be happy go lucky romantic comedies. I enjoy other sub-genres but they have to be done really well to hold my interest. Anything that deals with more serious issues and/or drama has to be well written and well thought out for me to enjoy it. Stayed Tuned is all of the above. It's well written, well thought out, beleiveable and best of all utterly relatable.

Melissa is such a great character. I instantly connected with her, all of her insecurities about not being good enough to be an anchor, all of her thoughts and annoyances. I thought she was really well fleshed out. She could really have been any woman dealing with juggling work, success (or the fear of not having it) friends, and problems at home. I think that anyone can relate to at least one of the struggles that Melissa goes through in Stay Tuned. I was rooting for her the whole time.

Surprisingly I also really liked Alyssa. I just found her funny! She was like the crazy comic relief. Except that she was really crazy. But in a strange way, she was amusing to me. Maybe I'm just weird? haha.

Melissa's husband on the other hand, bugged me. I think it was because I related so much to Melissa, and I was 100% on her side, but I just felt like she deserved more. He redeemed himself a little bit but I still think he needs to grow up a bit. I can also relate to his work problems though. I know how hard it is to try and prove yourself, and the competition can be really stressful.

Overall, I really really enjoyed Stay Tuned. I loved the news stories that wove themselves into the themes of Melissa's life. It was just so nicely done. The best part was that nothing felt forced. Everything fit so well and everything seemed so realistic and you can just picture it all happening. This is a great book if you are looking for an excellentlt executed contemporary/chick lit/women's literature book.

This is one heck of a powerful book. I'm not sure to super serious or dark books. This deals with some heavy issues- murder, abuse, and some really dysfunctional relationships. But it is done so well. It's gripping and haunting. A story that needs to be read.

Archer wants vivian's love so much that he was willing to do ANYTHING to get it. He is normally not the type of character that I would like at all. He has this insane desperation about him, and it leads him to do some crazy things.(and very illegal) It is just not the type of person that I normally like, or respect. But there is just something about him. Something that makes you like him despite his actions. You just want to believe that he is good, that he can be redeemed. And then Evan came into the book.

I loved Evan. He is good, and logical and smart and just what Archer needed. And when Evan believed in Archer's inherent goodness, it made me believe too. I have so much respect for Evan. Not only because he was so good for Archer, but also because he knew when Archer would become destructive to him. Evan saw that Archer was becoming Evan's Vivian and he spoke up about it. It would have so easy for Evan to just keep giving in to Archer because of his feelings for him, but Evan removed himself from the unhealthy relationship. I had so much respect for Evan when he stood up to Archer. That must have been so hard for him, but he did it because he knew it was best. But even so, he was always there for Archer.

I think that it is because of Evan that Archer finally realized that he should and could change. Evan gave him strength. It was so great to read about Archer's journey. It's raw and real. The struggles are dark- dangerous.

Vivian was such a hot mess. I really did not like her at all. She just didn't get it. I kept waiting for some character growth, something to show that she wanted to better herself, but it never came. She truly did not care. Which made me not care for her at all.

I loved Hushed. It was a gripping, haunting tale. It ended just perfect for the tone of the story. I thought it was really, really well written. Kelley York knows how to create such a vivid picture with her words. Great Story

I really liked the concept of this book. Sirens are fascinating and I have not read very much about them at all. Keridan finds out that she is half Siren right at the beginning of the book. While it is not a unique I idea to find out during your teenage years/early 20s that you are really some sort of mythical creature, it is a plot line that I love. So I was really excited to dive right into this book.

I loved the mystery surrounding Keridan's heritage, but it all seemed a little rushed to me. I was ok with the sudden-ness of her mom's death and her dad showing up out of no where after because it was required that way in his world, but then the other things did not have nearly as good of reasons. For example, Keridan's dad mentioned that Keridan should meet her aunts (that she had never heard of before) and then one page later, without any explanation or description, Keridan was rushing home to confide in her aunt's who had suddenly moved into her house. It was just a little rushed for me. I would have liked for a bit more foundation to have been laid in the earlier stages of the story.

I really liked the guys in Keridan's life. Her best friend was awesome and I totally wanted her to show some sort of interest in him. I just felt bad because he was such a good friend and so nice. Sahaj was a really interesting character and he was probably the best developed character in the whole book. He was the only one we got any sort of real backstory on. I enjoyed finding out about his past. For most of the book, I was wondering if he actually liked Keridan or if it was because of her Siren powers. It just all came on so suddenly.

Overall, I really liked the initial concept of the book but the execution of it fell short of my expectations. The elements of a good story are there- cool idea, and a good love interest element, and good mystery surrounding it all but it was not well developed as I had hoped. It was a little rushed and didn't hold my interest. I had a hard time finishing this book. However, the love story is something that people might really enjoy. So if you read this book and had a different opinion of it, or if you have a glowing review let me know in the comments and Ill put a link to it. :)

I really like the elemental series. I think my favorite thing about this series is that each book has a completely different story. I wasn't too sure where this book was going to go. I thought it would focus more on Jensen, but a totally different story emerged. It deal with the fae, which are fascinating creatures! I have read a few books on the fae but I really loved Shauna's take on them. She included many different varieties and I really got to see the nuances within the species.

And what is even cooler is that we got to see so much more of Jodi! She is the air elemental of the trio so it makes sense that she would get her time to shine in this book. I really liked that it wasn't 100% about Shayna. I enjoyed seeing jodi and her powers grow, you could tell that she needed the confidence. I felt so bad for Steven sometimes though. It felt a little like he was being left in the dust- Shayna has always been super powerful, btu now Jodi was coming into her own, but because the book was so Air based, there was not much for Steven to do. Of course, he was never bitter or anything but supportive. He is such a great friend.

Another great thing about Air is that you can really see some awesome character development and growth. Particularly for Shayna. She starts out the series being pretty controlling and having a bit of a temper. But she is really starting to come around and fall into her powers. She appreciates her friends more and is such a good person at heart. She always wants to help everyone, even Jeremy. (who I found to be kind of creepy) Now if only she could start treating Jensen a little better...

Jensen is so completely and totally awesome. He cares about Shayna so much, and he is so patient with her. Honestly, he puts up with a lot with her. She is confused and as a result, sometimes she doesn't treat him the best. I just wanted to shake her a few times and make her realize how good she has it with him. My only complaint about Air is that there was not enough Jensen in it! He always seemed to be a few steps behind the group because Shayna never took the time to fill him in until way after the fact. Poor Jensen. I just hope that in the next book Shay realizes what she has, and I just hope it isn't too late.

Overall, Air (and the elemental series) is a great, magical book. The mystery is awesome and the magic battles are intense! It will be sure to keep you on the edge of your seat- I couldn't turn the pages fast enough!

I really enjoyed this book. A lot happens in it and at the same time, you want even more to happen because you want to find out more about the histories of the families. There are so many unanswered questions and at first that frustrated me, but as the book goes on I think Lindsay does a really nice job of spreading out the answers that she reveals. It was not too slow, but at the same time you only got enough information to keep you on the edge of your seat and engaged in the book.

I loved getting to know the four guys and their families. They are all so different, but work so well together. What makes this book unique is that it is a witch book, with family magic but no covens. I have not read too many books like that.

Ok let's talk characters. More specifically, let's talk guys. I like all 4 of the guys but Jake is taken by someone else right away so he is out of the romantic picture. That leaves 3 guys- Lucian, Tyler, and Danny. I have always been 100% on team Tyler. I just love him, and I think he is the best one out of the four for Keira. He always sticks up for her and he trusts her completely. I just think he is adorable. Keira goes back and forth between the two guys throughout the book and honestly it was a little frustrating for her to just not pick one already!

One thing that did bug me a little bit about the book was the use of british terms. And that is only because it didn't fit with the location. The story takes place in the United States so the british slang seemed a bit off. I also didn't like hearing references to all these manly men "giggling". But other than that, I absolutely loved the book. I couldn't wait to start reading the second one and I am already half way done with Torment (book 2). I'm going to be talking more about Keira in my review of the second book, but just know this...she can kick some serious butt!

Bloodlines was a riveting read, and I couldn't get enough of it. This looks like it is going to be a really good series.
