This book was really cute. I think this would be a really good, fun beachy read. It is super fast paced and has a sweet romance. I thought that Sadie was a bit naive, but very likable. I would have liked her to be a little less innocent about her looks if she is as pretty as she was described to be, but I can understand why she was that way. Her mother never gave her any attention.

I loved Jax. He seemed so genuine and down to earth, and also a bit cheesy. But it was soo cute on him! I also couldn't help but feel bad for Marcus. A spin off featuring him would be such an AWESOME book!! I can totally see him being a great main character and there is so much left undiscovered for him. I would love to read more about him, and see him get a happy ending like Sadie did.

The story in this book is so sweet and its funny, because even though the romance was meant to take center stage, I found myself so drawn to the family like dynamic that had formed around Sadie. I loved seeing all those people care about her and I enjoyed reading about her interactions with each of them.

But lets not forget about the romance. Breathe was such a sweet story about two genuinely nice people. I was so happy and satisfied with how everything turned out. This book just made me smile. And that is always nice to read something that just makes you plain happy.

A few of the cheesy moments between Jax and Sadie are the only reason I am not giving this book a 5/5. I really loved the story and thoroughly enjoyed Breathe. I can't wait to see what else Abbi Glines has in store for us!

This book is based on a really interesting concept. I have not read many books about demons, especially not ones that paint them in anything but a negative light. Misfit takes up such a unique view on demons. It is nothing I have ever really thought about, but after hearing it explained, I loved how they describe demons as being past gods and deities. Demons are only considered demons because of the changing conventions and views of the world.

I really liked the description of all the various names and forms Jael’s mom was known by throughout history. I was really interested in learning about her and Jael’s history and abilities. The book did address Jael’s general demon abilities. And while this is really interesting, it does not really touch too much on her specific succubus abilities. It was really only brought up a few times, once when she went to school and only once or twice in passing afterwards. And the specific abilities was what I was looking forward to the most. I loved that fateful Friday that she went to school and everyone around her started going crazy. I wanted so much more of that. I really hope that the next book goes into more detail about her affect on people because she is a succubus. That aspect has the potential to be pretty awesome. I can’t wait to see how her abilities are going to develop. I did really like the description of her general demon abilities and I think that because she is a halfbreed, her powers are WAY more cool than a full demon. I would definitely rather be a halfbreed.

I must say that I am not a fan of the third person in this book. I would have rather seen it from Jael’s point of view. Sometimes reading the third person made the story seem a little detached. It made it harder for me to connect with Jael.

Overall, it was a good book. I just wish it had been a little more developed in some places, but I look forward to see where this series is going to go. The ending left open some promising possibilities so I’m interesting to see what is going to happen next.

This book was a short, fast read. I liked this book, but it was a little young for me. The main character was 12 years old; I think I would have preferred her to be at least 16, but I should take the book for what it is. This is definitely a middle grade book.

It was a cute story but very short, and it did not have much plot development or character development. I do think younger readers would enjoy the story. It was just not what I was expecting when I picked the book up, and it fell short of my expectations.

Ordained certainly keeps you on your toes! It is a very fast paced and exciting read. The whole time I was reading it, I found myself saying "wait, what just happened?" and "wow, I didn't see that coming." it's not so much twists and turns; it's more like an onion. New layers keep getting peeled back and new secrets are constantly being revealed. I loved that about the book! I was never bored, and I never caught my eyes skipping ahead a few lines. (I admit it, sometimes I do that during slow parts of books)

The interesting, or maybe strange, thing about this book was that there was no stand-out character for me. I really liked them all. I found Abby's inner conflict between her two "sides" to be fascinating, and all the other characters were interesting enough. But this wasn't a character driven book for me. It was much more storyline focused. And I loved that about Ordained.

Ordained took a TON of paranormal and supernatural elements and incorporated them all in a very unique way. I loved Devon Ashley's take on good vs. evil witches and magic. I think that was my favorite "layer" of the story. I can't wait to see how that is going to play out in the next book.

Overall, this is a good book and really great if you are looking for a unique take on the average vampire/demon book. I thoroughly enjoyed Ordained.

3.5 stars. This book is an action packed, adventure story. I felt like I was on a super mysterious treasure hunt while reading it. It was mysterious because I never quite knew what they were hoping to find that their final destination.

Gypsy Knights is a very suspenseful read. This was a like as well as a dislike for me. I liked that the books kept switching back and forth between different people and each time, you got another little piece of the puzzle. But, I disliked that the pieces you got were so small at any given point. I was kind of confused at multiple points in the book. Everything came together for me, and I really enjoyed the result, but at times I didn't exactly know what was going on. I found this a little frustrating.

Still, the story is a really interesting one. I found the plotline to be original and engaging. There was certainly never a dull moment. From the moment Duri and Dilla run away and embark on their adventure, it was just that- a whirlwind adventure. There was no filler, and I loved that about Gypsy Knights. Everything was relevant and critical to the puzzle they were trying to solve. I also loved the way chess was so important in the story. Chess is such a complex game, and it was incorporated in such cool ways! The book is worth reading just for this!

Duri and Dilla made such a good team and I loved reading about their interactions. They are both pretty young, but they didn't seem that way to me. I can't wait to see what is going to happen in the next book. I look forward to finding out more about what that gypsy chess set can really do, and more about its' history.

I could not put this book down! I read it all in one shot. I started pretty late at night because it was supposed to be a kind of spooky mysterious ghost story, so I wanted to set the mood by reading it at night. But because it was late at night, I was tired. I didn't think I would make it past page 20.

Well, page 20 came and went so quickly and before I knew it, I had stayed awake to read the whole book! That's how much I loved it.

I felt like I was there in the house with everyone, trying to figure out what happened along with them. I could easily see this as one of those murder mystery type movies that I would be riveted to the entire time.

Even though the whodunit was not too hard to figure out, it was still really interesting watching it get pieced together. The Poisoned House is just spooky enough to make jump a few times and definitely interesting enough to keep you reading! I was on the edge of my seat for the whole book.

Anyone that likes murder mysteries or suspense books needs to pick up The Poisoned House. It was creepy and riveting. I loved it!
