Co-Wrecker is a new adult contemporary romance by Meghan Quinn. It is a very funny, almost outlandish co-workers romance. I had a lot of fun with this one but it wasn't my favorite of Meghan Quinn's book. Don't get me wrong, it was a good read and I am certainly still a fan of her books. (She wrote one of my very favorite reads of 2016- Stroked Long with Bodi!) I will be reading all of her other books, I just had a bit of a hard time meshing with the main characters in this one. They were great people and the romance was awesome. They were just a bit too much for my tastes. However; I can see fans of romantic comedies really enjoying Co-Wrecker.

Co-Wrecker is the story of Sadie and Andrew. I liked Sadie and at first, I loved Andrew. He is a hot nerd who loves to talk about baseball just as much as he likes to talk about computer codes. I loved that about him. And he is pretty funny, and adorable when he fumbles around hard-a** Sadie. But then he just became a bit too much for me. I knew I was in trouble when I found myself liking Sadie's ex more than Andrew. (I really do like Sadie's ex by the way. and I love Smilly and the group of friends. I would love for them to get their own stories.)

Sadie and Andrew each have their own issues surrounding school. Sadie's was tough and I felt really bad for her. Andrew's was just crazy. I mean seriously had me laughing out loud and shaking my head crazy. Because I can't imagining even half of what happened to him happening. It was absurd. Funny, but absurd. Overall, this was a funny read. Pretty out there, but funny. And the romance was great.

Bottom line: If you like your romantic comedies on the zany side, with a healthy dose of silly characters and situations, I think you will enjoy Co-Wrecker. While this book didn't have my Bodi in it, and therefore couldn't be my favorite, because Bodi is everything, Co-Wrecker was a lot of fun.

Crazy for You is a new adult/adult contemporary romance by Rachel Lacey. It is the second book in the Risking it All series; however it can be read as a standalone. This was my first book in the series and my first book by Rachel, and I have to say, it was so much fun! I really enjoyed Crazy for You. It made me want to go back and read all the other books.

Crazy for You is the story of Emma and Ryan. Emma is a small town in North Carolina's resident good girl and Ryan has a bad boy image from his teenage years still following him around no matter what he does to try and change it. So when Emma comes to him and tell him she wants to shake things up and have some fun he is really torn. For many reasons, but you will just have to read the book (and the summary) to figure those out. I really, really liked both Emma and Ryan.

Ryan is a big ole softie deep down. I loved the way he couldn't say no to Emma. Even when he tried to initially it didn't take much for him to come around. I loved the mountain setting in this story. I love a small town romance and when the characters are as sweet and have as much chemistry as Emma and Ryan it is even more fun.

Bottom line: If you are a fan of small town romances with some spice and a whole lot of chemistry, The Risking it All series is going to be a great one for you. Character driven readers will love Crazy for You just as much as I did.

I have read each and every one of Victoria's books and I have loved them all. Hear the Wolves is so different than all of her previous books. I loved this one too, but I think what I loved most about it was how different it was. Victoria has a way with words. I love how she tells a story, whether it is a romance, a paranormal or something totally creepy and eerily realistic, she pulls the reader in, in a way few authors have managed to consistently do. I just love her books.

Sloan, her father, and her sister live in a tiny and remote Alaskan town. Think one step ahead of those Alaskan bush people. There is a town and store, but just barely. And the wolves outnumber the people in the town. By a lot. Sloan suffered a terrible accident when she was younger and it has left deep emotional scars. She is terrified to do anything alone. So when a storm hits and her father and sister are out of town, she panics a bit. But what I liked most about Sloan is that even through her fierce fear, she manages to stand up and take charge. She is just a young teenager and she rally's a group of people to try and help an injured woman. This leads them on a journey outside in the storm, where the wolves are.

The story was just so cool. Fast paced and creepy as heck, I will not look at wolves the same way. I mean, I had a healthy appreciation and fear of them before but I am certainly not going to be hanging out with anytime soon. (Also, if you are reading Hear the Wolves, you have to check out Victoria's story at the back because I loved hearing about her visiting the wolves sanctuary and how her experience shaped this novel.) Victoria holds no punches with this story. Don't get too attached to any of the characters because the wolves...they are a hunting. But it was a read that I thoroughly enjoyed. Since the main character is young, this is a middle grade novel, but I can easily see fans of young adult loving this one.

Bottom line: Victoria Scott is one of my favorite authors. She always writes stories that captivate me from beginning to end. If you are a fan of survival stories, you will love Hear the Wolves. If you are a fan of Alaska reality shows, you will love this book. I found this to be a thrilling read. One I am recommending to fans of middle grade and young adult alike.

The Opposite of You is the first book in the adult contemporary romance Opposites Attract series by Rachel Higginson. I flippin' LOVED this book. It is about time I had a 5 star contemporary read and this one earned every bit of those 5 stars. It is so excellent that I want to pick it up and read it again...immediately. You know when you love a book so much you immediately want to read other books like it? Well, The Opposite of You did that to me. I am now craving a great fight/bantering dynamic, so leave me your best new adult/adult recs below.

The Opposite of You is told entirely from Vera's point of view. Vera is a trained culinary chef, a very talented one at that, but because of a troubled past she doesn't feel like she will ever be able to have her own kitchen. So she opens up Foodie the food truck to start her dream of doing upscale comfort food. I totally want Foodie to be real because seeing her weekly menu's made me seriously hungry! The catch is, she opens Foodie up right across the street from the fanciest restaurant in town, with the most famous chef in town- Killian.

To say that I loved the interactions between Killian and Vera would be a total understatement. They are both hard-as*'s and both totally hilarious with each other. Killian would send spies to order her food and sneak it back to him and then send her his notes tearing the food apart. And Vera would retaliate in awesome ways. They may be one of my favorite book couples of the year. Killian is totally book boyfriend list worthy. I just loved him! But together they are even more magical. I can't wait for the next book in the series. I really hope we get to see Killian and Vera in it some more. I have a feeling I know who one of the future couple is going to be.

Bottom line: If you like your contemporary romances full of banter, chemistry that sizzles off the page and beyond excellent pacing and writing, you need to read The Opposite of You. This is my first Rachel Higginson book, but it will not be my last. I couldn't put this book down. It was like a perma smile read for me. I loved it so much. And I need more! The Opposite of You is one of my favorite reads of 2017! Everyone needs to go out and buy this book today. Trust me. You will love it.

Fighting for Love is the second book in the contemporary romance series, called Boston Love by Kelly Elliott. Each of the books can be read as standalones. Fighting For Love is my first book in the series, and I had no problem following and enjoying the story. If you like fun and relatively low drama romances, Fighting For Love is a great book for you to check out. I really liked this one, and I can't wait to read more from Kelly Elliott. This was the perfect feel good read.

Fighting For Love is the story of Rory and Finn. Finn is a firefighter and Rory is a law school graduate hoping to make her way as a new lawyer. (so it was really easy for me to put myself in her shoes...I wonder why. And also, does that mean I get to keep Finn for myself?? Please say yes Kelly!) Finn and Rory and such a great match, and what I loved most about them was how genuine they are. They really tried to get to know each other and get to know what is important to to the other person and I loved that about them. I loved even more that I could feel their genuine-ness leap right off the page. Kelly Elliott is clearly a very gifted writer and making characters feel like real people and feel very fleshed out. I fell in love right alongside the characters.

Bottom line: if you are looking for a feel good romance, look no further the Boston Love series is for you. Whether you start with Fighting for Love or start with book one, you will enjoy the sweet character driven romances. I need to read more by Kelly, because I really loved this book. It was a sweet romance that had me smiling. Plus, lawyer and firefighter. Yes please! Fighting for love is tons of fun full of great characters, a sweet romance and plenty of swoony moments.

In the Dark is the second book in a new, new adult contemporary romance series from Monica Murphy. It's called the Rules Series and these books just keep getting better and better. The Rules Series is follows Shep, his friend Gabe and his cousin Tristan. I enjoyed Shep's story, Fair Game, but I knew right away that I wouldn't be able to wait for Gabe's story. Gabe was a breath of fresh air in In the Dark.

The story is told in alternating points of view between Lucy and Gabe. Lucy is house sitting for the summer in a super fancy home, and Gabe and his family are renting the house next door. Gabe was totally taken with Lucy the moment that he saw her, and I loved that about him. I loved that he was not afraid to be completely smitten by her. And I could see why he was. Lucy is great. Sweet, but with some spunk in her. Gabe and Lucy come from two different worlds, and fittingly the book is kind of split into two different parts- their summer and the school year.

I think you will be able to tell where the bumps, drama and road blocks pop up. Not in their blissful summer where they were in their own little Lucy and Gabe bubble. College brought them back to the realities of their situations, and things started to get a little bumpy. Why? Oh yea, because Lucy let Gabe think she was a rich girl. Not the biggest insurmountable problem in the world, but it was just enough for Monica Murphy to works her magic blend of lighthearted agnst that I love with my romances. It wasn't too much, and it didn't take away from the really sweet and wonderful romance that was going on. Just enough to keep it interesting.

In the Dark is a great follow up to Fair Game. I really am digging the Rules Series. They are great beach reads. I have to admit that I am still a little hesitant about Tristan's story. He still seems like the biggest jerk. Monica Murphy is going to have to work her magic on him. I know this series is going to be a big hit with tons of readers of new adult contemporary. This was a great, sexy and fun read.

So Twisted is the first book in the bad behavior series by author Melissa Marino. The Bad Behavior series is a series of standalone contemporary romances that straddle the line between new adult and adult. I would still put them in the new adult category because the main character for So Twisted was in her twenties. But I can easily see this appealing to fans of both new adult and adult contemporary romances. So Twisted is a feel good romance and is a very quick read. It had its' fair share of funny moments too. (And some moments that made me beyond embarrassed.) Overall, I really enjoyed this one, and I can't wait to read books 2 and 3 of the series, both of which are already out. Binge readathon, anyone??

So Twisted is told in dual narrative between the two main characters, Callie and Aaron. Aaron is a single dad and Callie is the new live in nanny. While the overall story line is rather predictable (we all know where this one is going...) there were more than enough little funny things thrown in that I totally did not expect. Some of them had me laughing and some of them had my cheeks turning pink from embarrassment.
like the daughter finding the toy cucumber. eek!! AKA Callie's rabbit. I died!
Callie is a very competent young woman and I really appreciated that about her. She has her head on straight and she is great for Aaron.

Aaron's little girl is just super cute. And while it is really not my thing to read books that feature children, she was really just a secondary character to the story. She was around throughout the book, but she didn't really get in the way of Callie and Aaron's story. She complemented it. If that makes any sense. Either way, it worked for me. I honestly was going to pass on this one because of the little girl and start with book 2 in the series, but I got all of the books for review and I wanted to read the series in order, so I decided to give So Twisted and try and I am glad that I did. While it is not my favorite book in the series (I am already liking book 2 more than this one!) it was a really good read. If you like cute romances featuring single fathers you will love this one. But even if that is not your go to trope, read So Twisted anyway. I think you will enjoy it. And you can binge books 2 and 3 right after, which is always fun.

Bottom line: So twisted and the bad behavior series is perfect for a good binge read for fans who like cute romances with a dash of sexy and humor thrown in. Now, if you will excuse me, I am going to go back to reading book 2.

It features a guy named Jack who has not yet gone through puberty and he decides to fake it to fit in with his friends. Stop. Stop right there, I didn't need to read any further. Christ Miles already had me. Spurt is a hilarious book. It is a book I think will appeal to all readers of all ages and genders. I really can't say enough good things about this book, other than it was a blast.

All of Jack's friends have either gone through or are currently going through puberty and he feels left in the dust...so he comes up with a genius idea...he can just fake puberty. I still crack up every time I think about this, because puberty is no fun for anyone, so I can't imagine faking it is any more fun. But either way, Spurt was a hilarious ride through Jack's various antics with his friends. The humor is spurt is at times outlandish, but always a lot of fun. Jack, though misguided sometimes is a great guy. I really liked him. You can't help but like him and root for him.

And can we take a moment to talk about the cover. The front is freakin' hilarious, with the single taped on hair. (I really laughed at that longer than I should have.) but the really cool thing about the cover is that it has a reversible "decoy" cover. First, what a cool idea! I want books to have reversible covers! Like two different versions. (Publishers...let's talk! and make this happen!) But in Spurt's case, the back side of the cover was to keep your book safe from prying eyes. It was about epic hot air- balloon explosions and other really cool many things. There was even a very manly author and fake author bio. It was so funny. I knew right then and there that I was going to love Chris Mile's writing style. And I did! I need to read more books by him ASAP. He is super funny.

Bottom line: If you are a boy going through puberty, a young adult or an adult who already has gone through it, Spurt is a book that you do not want to miss. It is tons of fun and it is sure to put a big smile on your face. I Lol-ed multiple times while reading. This book made me smile. I loved Spurt.

Zenn Diagram was a super cute read that I quickly finished in one setting. It left me with a big smile on my face. It kind of reminded me of the last magical realism book I read, and loved, The Secret of Heart Note. It was an adorable, quick and light hearted read.

Zenn Diagram is the story of Eva, who is a big math lover. I found Eva totally adorable. All on her own, but when you add in her unique gift she became extra interesting. You see, Eva can touch someone and know their thoughts and feelings. But what is even cooler, she can touch an object and know someone's emotions and experiences as it pertains to that object. For example, she can touch someone's graphing calculator and figure out what area of math is giving them troubles and is able to help them really easily. She makes a kick butt math tutor. Seriously, I thought this was the cutest thing. The book starts with her tutoring sessions. And then she meets Zenn. A dark and mysterious guy that she clicks with instantly.

The interesting thing about Zenn is that his and Eva's relationship is both super cute and kind of awkward. Cute because they seem to like each other really quickly and watching them joke and flirt was adorable. But awkward because Eva can't touch people, without being exposed to all their secrets (even though this is different with Zenn) and she gets a dark awful feeling from touching a piece of his clothing, so that makes her anxious. Not to mention Zenn has his own mysterious things going on. But still they can't seem to stay away from each other. I don't think I am doing a very good job of explaining this book, but it is a really cute love story. I totally enjoyed the character interaction and the writing.

Bottom line: If you are looking for a cute romance with a dash of magical realism thrown in, Zenn Diagram is a great book for you to check out. If you are looking for a day of lighthearted fun, this is the book for you. I loved reading Zenn Diagram.

This is the first book I have read by Ms. Jewel and I have to say I really dug it. The suspense part was a little heavier than the romance part, but there was a still a kind of cool concept second chance romance featured in this one. All in all, if you are a fan of creepy suspense/thriller novels, you will not want to miss 72 hours.

Lara and Noah used to date but they wouldn't call each other friends now. But they are unwittingly picked to star in this creepy, and sick and creepy guy's twisted version of a game. A life or death game. I was so icked out by the villain in this book. He is someone that will keep you up at night. That is the level of his twisted desires. I loved Lara and Noah. I thought they were really strong characters and they stood up well to the masterful suspense plot-line. Bella Jewel really impressed me with her plot and her writing. She is excellent at creating an atmospheric world that made me feel like I was being hunted too.

Once I started reading 72 hours I was almost immediately drawn into the world. I couldn't put this book down, it really captivated me. I wish the romance was a little stronger in it, but I do think this would be perfect for fans of twisted suspense/thriller stories who like a secondary romance. I tend to go for books the other way around, but 72 hours had such brilliant writing and such a strong plot, I really didn't notice I wanted more romance until the book was done. And don't get me wrong...it is clear to see Lara and Noah's chemistry. I really enjoyed the romantic aspects of 72 hours and I sure as heck admired and loved both of the main characters.

Bottom line: If you are a fan of extra twisted villains, and love a good suspense chase, you so want to grab a copy of 72 Hours ASAP. You will love it. Bella Jewel did an incredible job.
