And so we come to the third instalment of the ACOTAR series and I have to admit I was excited to start. I raced through the first 100 pages loving how much was going on compare to the start of books one and two but then I just lost interest and it felt a bit of a chore to get through.
I know there are so many people out there who love this series and I can see me at age 18 absolutely devouring this series but I think maybe now I’m just a bit past it?
I’m debating trying crescent city as I do thing the writing is good and is very easy to follow so maybe a more adult style would suit me better...

I enjoyed this and thought it was a nice, fast paced read, if a little predictable. I would have like to have seen more about the parts of drag the author mentioned that aren’t cover by drag race. However I don’t think that should take away from how fantastic it is that books like this are out there for young adults now. Thank you to @bookbreakuk & @panmacmillan for my #gifted copy.
This book had me laughing out loud the whole way through, I loved all of the characters and what I loved more than anything was that it read like romance book. Both guys have their issues and we follow them as they try to work through them to see if they can be together.
I found it really refreshing reading about a gay couple with all the same concerns and fears and humour that we read about in romances featuring straight couples.
I will definitely be looking for more from this author.

I absolutely adored American Royals, the end broke me and so this was one of my most anticipated reads of the year and wow it was worth the wait. I loved it!
I always worry going into a sequel that I wont love it as much as the first but I think I loved this even more that the first one, I feel like even though McGee really shook things up she stayed true to her characters. I also absolutely loved the use of the fake relationship trope, its one of my favourites and this author just writes it so so well.
Potential spoiler:
I have to admit I was expecting certain things to happen, certain couples to reunite after a long struggle to get there but nothing that I expected to happen did. At first I was really uncertain of this and the couplings didn't sit right but the more I read the more I could completely see why and how they worked even better that the original pairs I had loved so much.
I need book 3 and I also need a steamy spin off of what Connor gets up to in Texas, thank you please!

I loved how this novel tackled such serious topics in a way that easy for children to understand and want to read. Being written through the eyes of a child stripped back all the politics and reminded us of what the real issue is.
The friendship group were all well developed and I loved what each one brought to the group, especially when they bought Ahemt gifts, it really made me chuckle to read what they picked. I thought not naming the main character was a brilliant way to keep attention focused on Ahemt.
This book was filled with humour and love and I cried so much at the end that my husband has to ask me if I was
I haven't read any of this authors work since I studied her poems in sixth form so I was a bit hesitant about reading this but I actually really enjoyed all of the poems and even felt myself analysing them as i would have done back then.
I am definitely a fan of this authors style and will picking up more of her poetry soon.

This was a lovely little follow us story to the boy at the back of the class, it didn't pack the same emotional punches but it was a perfect, fun, quick read.
I read the opening chapter of this a few months ago on netgalley and was so intrigued that I knew I needed a copy.
Let me start with the fact that I really enjoyed this book, the first few pages took a little bit of concentration but once you are in the flow its a brilliant read. I feel like this book created a solid theory for the existence of other worlds and used it to tell a story. I really enjoyed the character development and the slow reveal handed out through breadcrumbs but I feel like I cannot say much more for fear of spoiling the experience for anyone else.
I would recommend for anyone who a magical/other worldly element and I will definitely be reading more from this author.
Thank you bloomsbury for my gifted copy in exchange for review.
