Perfect accompaniment for Twilight Fans
Okay - this book is verbose. It is long and repetitive. It tells the story of Twilight with absolutely no changes, so don't expect a plot to grab you.
Having said that, this book provides the insight into the minds of Edward's family that we have always needed, and especially helps the reader relate to Alice and understand her mind, as well as how Jasper's gift works.
I would rate this higher if we were offered a bit more of an alternative story pathway- but is a must-read for Twilight fans.
Word of warning- remember Edward is an incredibly sensitive mentally tuned vampire. He thinks A LOT. Therefore the plot moves much more slowly!

Careful- may contain spoilers!
Warning - book ends on uncomfortable cliffhanger!
I am certain Castel had a fab image and map in her head of the environment and hierarchy when she wrote this novel, but alas I am uncertain if it comes off as clearly as she intended. Fab story in principle- all is never as it seems and a great deal of tension!
Weird use of the phrase "throat convulsed" at least four times. So odd that it stuck out like a convulsing sore thumb!

Interesting concept
Loved the concept of this book, the characters and the narrative style.
Easy to read, would have loved longer to properly fall in love with the characters :) but how long can 24h be? Full of hope, unfulfilled dreams and innocence.
