While heartbreaking at times, there was also joy and strength in their story.

Don’t get too comfortable and think everything will be joyful, because your heart will be ripped out and shattered. Only to slowly be pieced back together.

Also, that epilogue…..I am counting down the days until it is time to return to Willow Creek!

Ever since the little glimpse of Liam and Avery in Out of Bounds, I have been DYING for more of them. I loved all the hilariousness, the quirkiness and the steaminess that was in this book.

The moment Liam was introduced I completely fell for him. The more I got to know him throughout the course of this story I fell even more. He is a talented goalie and a great friend, but there are also some insecurities he has. I also loved the fact of how clueless Liam was when it came to things in America.

I LOVE Avery. She is my kind of person. She is full of random facts, that she likes to share. She is awkward and quirky. Plus, she shares insecurities that we all share as women. I instantly wanted to be become her best friend.

The chemistry between Liam and Avery is instant. I loved the friendship they formed and the bond they had over watching Marvel movies together. Though, at times these two had me yelling at my kindle because I just wanted them to go for it and give into the flames between them.

Since meeting Hazel in book 1 of this series I have been dying for her story and this one was raw and emotional from start to finish.

Hazel’s life hasn’t been easy. She was abandoned by her parents, then her sister. Her heart was broken when she was only just a child. She just wants to be loved. She is caring about not only her family, but her friends and of course, the Everhart brothers. Scott is the second oldest of the brothers and instantly had to step into a parental role for his two younger brothers after the tragic loss of their parents. He cares about Hazel, but also managed to hurt her and push her away. Then there is Hazel’s ex husband, Elliot. He will always be the first love for Hazel. But, Elliot never got over Hazel and now he may have a shot at a second chance.

Hazel is conflicted between her past with Elliott and her history with Scott. She wanted to love both men and in a way she does. Yet, she needs to make a choice of who she has an infinite love with. There is a connection with both of them, but one she has a much stronger connection with.

There are so many ups and downs in this story. I just wanted Hazel to choose. Her you could feel her struggle. You could feel her pain. You could feel the heartbreak from all these characters. This story had me laughing and it had me ugly crying. It is raw, emotional, and beautiful.

I absolutely loved Sami and Marshall’s friendship. These two are best friends and you can tell. They are each other’s rocks and they are supportive of each other. There is also chemistry between them and they can only deny their chemistry for so long.

This is a light, feel good story, with pretty much no drama. It is sweet, but also packs LOADS of steam….seriously Marshall is swoony.

Love You Better is the perfect mixture of sweet and heat. From the start I fell in love with Ivy, Kelley, their friendship and of course, their relationship.

Ivy and Kelley have been best friends pretty much from the first moment they met, but there was always something a little more between them that neither really acknowledged. The chemistry between them is scorching and the tension between them at times was enough to leave you frustrated. Ivy is a character that is easy to connect with and she is a BA, you just want to instantly become her best friend. Kelley is swoony AF and super sweet, but there is also a little bit of a dirty side to him aka he is the perfect package.

The secondary characters, Bailey and Jesse, I LOVE THEM! They are both good friends with not just Ivy and not just Kelley, but the both of them. I can’t wait for Bailey’s story and of course, for more of this group.

This story does deal with some tough topics and the aftermath that someone may experience and it was handled in a graceful manner.

Waylaid was so much more than I could have ever expected. The second I started reading I was completely drawn into Rickie and Daphne’s story.

Rickie is so beautifully broken. My heart broke for him so much. He has the bad boy look, but he is far from it…at least this version of Rickie. When Daphne first met him three years prior he was definitely the bad boy. I love the entire Shipley family and I absolutely love Daphne. She is hardworking, but she has also been hurt in the past and many things she has never talked about to really anyone.

There is so much chemistry between Rickie and Daphne. They have a past together and even though only Daphne remembers it, she was hurt. However, they really both need each other. I loved the support they were able to give each other. The two of them together are perfect.

Waylaid is full of chemistry, ice cream, some mystery, steam and of course, some Shipley family love!
