I figured out the twists here early on but I still really enjoyed this one. I listened to the audiobook and it was very well done. The past and present POVs were well done and allow the story to unfurl in a way that works well with the amnesia angle. Overall, if you enjoy YA mysteries and tales of teenagers behaving badly then this one’s for you. Lots of secrets, angst, manipulation, family drama and more that I won’t get into bc spoilers but things get crazy and there are definitely some triggers in this one. If you want to know more about the triggers before reading feel free to message me. I’m happy to share but I won’t do that here bc it would definitely interfere with the plot twists.

An emotional and gripping love story with a MC that slams his way into your heart.
Ahh, this book - it was heartbreaking, emotional and absolutely beautiful. Archer and Bee’s love was that once in a lifetime, transformative kind of love. Their story was filled with tragedy. Both were damaged in their own way and found a sense of healing and belonging with each other.
Mia Sheridan takes an unlikely hero and tears your heart out with his backstory. I feel hard for Archer and wanted nothing more than for him to find love and happiness. Archer and Bee’s relationship was well developed and all the angst & steam was perfect.
Honestly, I read a lot of books and Archer is one of those characters that will undoubtedly stay with me over time. This book tackles some difficult topics and at times was absolutely heart breaking but it’s also filled with so much love and hope that can’t help but want to hug it once you’re done.

Celaena Sardothien is serving out a sentence in the salt mines of Endovier when she is offered release if she will act as the Prince’s champion in a competition to find a new Royal assassin. Her opponents are the biggest thieves, warriors and assassins from across the empire. As she fights to win the competition she also finds herself in a desperate struggle to stay alive outside of the competition when contenstants start turning up dead, having been mutilated, mauled and eaten by an unknown beast. This was predictable and felt like the YA it was but I thoroughly enjoyed it. Action, adventure, murder, magic and romance - what more could I want?

This was such a perfect binge read! Can I just say that I loved Holland’s uncles with a fierceness and the whole Broadway, musical/musician plot was so much fun.

Loved this family of sisters/aunties so much! Their closeness and fierce sense of protection and responsibility for each other reminded me so much of my mom and her sisters. But these aunties are a riot! What meddling, overbearing busy bodies! I laughed out loud many times as I listened to this on audio - highly recommend it.
The premise focuses on Meddy who is set up on a date by her mom. The date does not go well and Meddy’s date accidentally ends up dead. What’s a girl to do? Call the police? No, call her aunties! What ensues is a series of bad ideas and mishaps as the aunties help Meddy stash the body to dispose of it. This “cover up” reminded me of a comedy similar to the movie, Weekend at Bernie’s.

Jill Shalvis has completely stolen my heart with this series! Each can be read as a stand-alone but they work so well together. What I love most about this series is that they are not just your typical romance story. Each focuses on an entire family, exploring sibling relationships, parental issues, etc. I have felt fully invested with each book, each family, each relationship!
