such a fun rivals to lovers story! i like how they didn’t just… ignore all of the issues that come with being rivals to lovers, but worked through it. the character dynamics were so fun and i really enjoyed getting to see the MC’s but also the friends of the Mc’s. 

quick listen, not my favorite but it was fun

this book was really fun! the plot was unique, the characters were fun to learn about, and the twists kept me engaged until the very end! 

ok this book is INSANE. the plot is unique, the characters are so well developed, the twists are TWISTY, and the narration was SO good. 

fun quick read. i like how short it was tbh. it was just shocking enough without being super obvious or detailed. 

this book! has the right amount of everything. perfect amount of tropes, of growth, drama, everything. 
i found this book on tiktok (rip 😭😭) and immediately started it on KU and im so glad i happened to come across it. 
the characters were knowledgeable and respectful of each others boundaries, they communicated when it mattered (there can always be more communication in books, but this is a solid amount), and they grew both individually and as a couple. 
i also appreciated the detailed TW/CW in the beginning. i don’t have many triggers, but i love how the author went about listing them, detailing the level of involvement, and also indicated which ones were on page and which were off page. 

THIS IS HOW YOU WRITE A SECOND CHANCE ROMANCE!!! the growth, the epilogue, the characters. fantastic. 

this book!!! was so good. it balanced the perfect amount of romance, drama, and introspection. 
the FMC was a character type i don’t think we see enough in media, and i really appreciated getting to follow her arc. 
every character was developed enough that i felt like they were real but not too much of the focus that they should’ve been the MC. each character added to other characters. 
i also have to say it had me giggling and kicking my feet at times. 

JJ Mulder never misses. This series is engrained into my brain and i am forever grateful for JJ’s generosity in sending me eARC’s. 

Every single book in the interconnected Offsides/SCU Hockey books is wonderful. It has the perfect amount of crossover so I can keep up with the characters I love without being overly confusing. The characters are all so well written and have such good depth that they feel real. 

Specific to this book, I loved the two MMC’s and their dynamic. There miscommunication, but it doesn’t go too far. The growth throughout the book is wonderful to watch.

AND, I feel like this is so important, the HEA isn’t “and everything was fixed and no one was a bad person anymore! which is necessary in books because not every single problem will resolve itself in a couple hundred pages. the world still sucks, but you can create your own HEA.
