When a wedding planner and a divorce lawyer are put into forced proximity when the lawyer becomes the best man for his brother's upcoming wedding, the heat is on!
For those who have loved Meader's sexy Chicago romances, including hockey players and firemen, this will not be a disappointment. That said, this was decidedly sweeter? Still super sexy, but overall just a really lovely little romance without quite as much of the angst. It was nice to see an alpha male who loved to dress well, likes to cook his Hello Fresh subscription, and his willing to let you cuddle on his rooftop deck while watching classic films.

Featuring the secondary characters from Bohemian and set during the same time period as that book, this is a lovely, lyrical, and sexy as all get out book featuring a heroine coming to terms with her dominant nature and the hero is longing for it.
Loved makeup artist Josie's backstory, her grit, and her very real reasons for being scared of commitment. Josie's ex gas-lit her for years, emotionally abused her, and then left her with no warning at the altar. She's had a rough road to finding herself but with the help of her best friend and client, the beautiful model from Bohemian, Josie is finally getting there. Her life in LA and the support of her Mexican-American family also are totally there for her.
Enter her ultimate fantasy, the sexy, hirsute, bearded lumberjack Gabe Shaw. He owns the local bar in Big Sur that Josie and her fellow coworkers on the photo shoot frequent while in town, and he is immediately entranced by the beautiful Josie.
Josie agrees to a one-night stand, but after getting trapped in Big Sur by a natural disaster, Gabe and Josie continue their exploration of their attraction, Josie's dominance, and Gabe's willingness to submit.
When neither seem willing to relocate, will this new romance be dead on arrival, especially when it seems Gabe may be a bit too all in, too soon?

When an ex-Navy SEAL and a recently released from jail arsonist and escape artist are forced to work together on a new task force of former cons for the Chicago PD, sparks immediately fly. Distrustful but unable to deny their immediate attraction, Erin O'Dea and Connor Bannon fall almost instantly into a relationship, an odd relationship tested by the fact Connor needs control and Erin cannot stand being touched.
As they work with the new task force (put together by the delicious Lt. Derek from "Protecting What's His") and struggle with their personal hangups, they still find a way to very sexily enjoy each other.
The actual plot points about the job they were working were very secondary for me as I was totally addicted to seeing how Bailey would make sexy-times between an uber-alpha male and a woman who could not bear being touched work. Oh, and work it did. So hot. Erin's touch issues did get resolved a bit too easily for my liking, but hey whatever. Good times, fun audio book. The female narrator did wonderful Bronx accent for Connor.
Looking forward to going back to see Bowen and Sera's story (book 1) and seeing what's up with the con-artist Austin and the hacker Polly!

Content warning: child abuse, child sexual abuse, guns, descriptions of rape, torture, sexual torture. Most of the sexual violence takes place off of the page and is not described in detail. Gun violence is rampant, as is other forms of psychical violence.
Justice Parish is part of a league of vigilantes who's mission is to end the lives of evil men who make their money from bringing harm to women. In this instance, Justice is out to kill the two brother's who run a lucrative sex-trafficking ring and who are connected to the death of Justice's biological sister (I think?).
Justice's cover is that of a rich, socialite PR specialist, and that is what ex-Special Forces now humanitarian Sandresh Ross thinks after his newly created agency is hooked up with the wealthy Parish family. But, he discovers Justice is far more than the sexy, dark haired ingenue he took her for after they have to battle out of a bad situation in Jordan.
After Justice comes clean to Sandresh, they discover Justice may have been betrayed by one of her own adopted siblings, and many other forces come to a head to try and kill them both as they fall in love.
The premise is super cool, and I was really in the mood for a book about women kicking butt and taking names. That said, the narrative was very choppy, and there was a ton of purple prose. Many many similes about Justice's dark eyes that were just a bit ridiculous after the first couple. Very insta-love (but if that's your thing, go for it). There was just so much going on to build this world, I'm hoping the author will be able to settle into it in the subsequent novels. I'm definitely going to keep reading!
Also, Justice is briefly described as being Native American (Choctaw), which is awesome, but I never really figured out why a white, blonde-haired, blue-eyed hero" was named Sandresh. Really, besides his time in the Special Forces and his mom with Alzheimer's, the reader wasn't really given much backstory on Sandresh.

Polly Banks, hacker, is out to destroy the confidence-man who stole her fathers' money and ruined her family's life. Problem is, now that she is semi-legitimate and working on Lt. Derek's squad of "ex" convicts, Polly has to keep her search for the man on the down low.
What Polly also doesn't know is that her teammate and frenemy (who she secretly wants to bang) Austin Shaw is connected to the man she wants to take down. Austin is also watching her every move, determined to keep Polly safe from the man who got Austin into the "business" of stealing money.
Austin is also struggling with his massive attraction to the tiny, raven haired beauty, but doesn't think he will ever be worthy of her. Their chemistry finally explodes and they agree to explore their connection AND bring down their mark.
Super sexy, with that Tessa Bailey flair, I loved that Austin was a switch, and willing to submit to Polly who also didn't know she was a switch. There is light spanking, some bondage, and so much dirty talk. The narrator did an excellent job with Austin's British accent *fans self*
Loving this series, and I'm intrigued to see Henrik and Aelish's story in the next book!

This may be one of the dirtiest audiobooks I've listened to! May be responsible for the current heat wave in my city.
Anyway, I'm sad to see the "Crossing the Line" series come to a close. I wasn't too sure about Henrik after meeting him in Book 3, but I'm great to like him.
Henrik Vance, disgraced cop for destroying evidence to protect a beautiful girl, a girl he met ONCE. Almost a year later, he knows where she is hiding thanks to a deal he struck with his new teammates.
Ailish O'Kelly, the tiny red-haired and locked away daughter of an evil Chicago mob boss ran away once she was mysteriously released from police custody. Hiding out in Wisconsin, she accidentally shoots Henrik who comes to convince her to use her information to put her father away.
Ailish isn't convinced this is her best option, but she's immediately attracted to the swoony, huge, and obviously totally into her Henrik. He also looks very familiar.
Using her her secret power (and secret shame) as a tease, Ailish bends Henrik to her will. But, he's also the first man who's willing to dole it back out just as good. Plus, he's vowed to keep her safe, no matter what.
What follows is the most scorching sex I've recently listened to with a somewhat plausible suspense plot. We get to see our past favs, and get a neatly would up series.

The illustrations are the best part of this book, so darn cute and emotive, but the story itself didn't capture my interest. Good messages about being yourself, but also some scary elements (kidnapping!) that didn't sit well with me. My six year old didn't have a problem, but younger readers may.
Talk about hot for teacher! Okay, well hot for the ex-Navy SEAL principal!
Gabe Caldera is wildly attracted to single mom Eden Harwood. She's beautiful, smart, and wicked capable with running her flower shop and keeping her clever 10-year-old daughter on schedule (with some help from a massive white board).
Unfortunately for Gabe, Eden's life is so scheduled out that she thinks she doesn't have time for love, let alone flirt, with the sexy principal, but Gabe is out to convince Eden that even if they only have minutes, those minutes can be enough.
These stolen minutes and time are brought to a grinding halt when the man who fathered Eden's daughter in a secret one night stand comes back into their lives.
Super sexy, super realistic contemporary romance that makes you appreciate the little things in life, the stolen moments. Both characters work hard for what they want, including each other. I especially adored the way Gabe took on making Eden and her daughter happy, even after an initial bad reaction to the reappearance of Eden's lover. The father of Eden's daughter isn't made out to be a villain, which is refreshing.
Highly recommend.

A laugh out loud, perverted, and accurate take on the Egyptian pantheon. If you are looking for something to further Little Jimmy's interest in Egyptian mythology, be warned there are a lot of penises, nudity, incest, and murder, which while true to the myths, is just a little extra when graphically and comically illustrated. I loved it.
Hard-working, dedicated journalist Celina decides to check out the Motorcycle Club that her best friend is now a member of, and finds herself swept up into a new relationship with sexy club member "Knuckles" despite her misgivings. When she gets caught between her job, her moral code, and her new lover, Celina needs to decide what love is worth and whether she is ready to take on a life with the father of two.
What follows is a roller coaster of drama with just a few too many plot points and a heroine who I respected until some of her later decisions. I especially took issue with the fact Knuckle's "job" with the Motorcycle Club was never really discussed. Maybe it was in the first book, but as a new reader to this series I had some serious questions, especially when it seems the Club is definitely dabbling in illegal activities.
Massive spoilers ahead:
