Polly Banks, hacker, is out to destroy the confidence-man who stole her fathers' money and ruined her family's life. Problem is, now that she is semi-legitimate and working on Lt. Derek's squad of "ex" convicts, Polly has to keep her search for the man on the down low.

What Polly also doesn't know is that her teammate and frenemy (who she secretly wants to bang) Austin Shaw is connected to the man she wants to take down. Austin is also watching her every move, determined to keep Polly safe from the man who got Austin into the "business" of stealing money.

Austin is also struggling with his massive attraction to the tiny, raven haired beauty, but doesn't think he will ever be worthy of her. Their chemistry finally explodes and they agree to explore their connection AND bring down their mark.

Super sexy, with that Tessa Bailey flair, I loved that Austin was a switch, and willing to submit to Polly who also didn't know she was a switch. There is light spanking, some bondage, and so much dirty talk. The narrator did an excellent job with Austin's British accent *fans self*

Loving this series, and I'm intrigued to see Henrik and Aelish's story in the next book!

Free copy received in exchange for a fair review!

If you're going pull a ridiculous and very public surprise proposal to someone on the Dodger's Jumbo-tron, you could at least spell their name right...

Nik cannot even believe her casual boyfriend of a few months pulled a stunt proposal at a Dodger's game. Even more surprising is his completely inappropriate and frankly scary behavior after she tells him no. Thankfully, a really cute pediatrician and his sister see Nik's shock and get her out of the stadium before the media hounds can descend, escorting her safely to her friends.

Thus starts a really great friendship between Nik and Carlos, a friendship that slowly starts to include benefits. Both have super busy lives, Nik with her writing, Carlos with the hospital, so they both think their arrangement is perfect. Both also have a ton of baggage around love, intimacy, and relationships.

What follows is a lovely friends to lovers to HEA tale with realistic problems, family issues, and a awesome dose of feminism.

This was more like a 4.5 star for me, because I just loved The Wedding Date so very much and "friends-to-lovers" isn't one of my fav tropes.

This may be one of the dirtiest audiobooks I've listened to! May be responsible for the current heat wave in my city.

Anyway, I'm sad to see the "Crossing the Line" series come to a close. I wasn't too sure about Henrik after meeting him in Book 3, but I'm great to like him.

Henrik Vance, disgraced cop for destroying evidence to protect a beautiful girl, a girl he met ONCE. Almost a year later, he knows where she is hiding thanks to a deal he struck with his new teammates.

Ailish O'Kelly, the tiny red-haired and locked away daughter of an evil Chicago mob boss ran away once she was mysteriously released from police custody. Hiding out in Wisconsin, she accidentally shoots Henrik who comes to convince her to use her information to put her father away.

Ailish isn't convinced this is her best option, but she's immediately attracted to the swoony, huge, and obviously totally into her Henrik. He also looks very familiar.

Using her her secret power (and secret shame) as a tease, Ailish bends Henrik to her will. But, he's also the first man who's willing to dole it back out just as good. Plus, he's vowed to keep her safe, no matter what.

What follows is the most scorching sex I've recently listened to with a somewhat plausible suspense plot. We get to see our past favs, and get a neatly would up series.

Continuing on with my Tessa Bailey binge, I loved her story in this military romance duo! A super tall, built, and sweet as hell Army master number-cruncher returns home after many years of overseas duty. He's a virgin, as his long-term and only girlfriend was determine to save herself for marriage, until she wasn't. She cheated Beck “True Blue” Collier, sending him a "Dear John" letter.

Now, Beck has no one to pick him up from the airport, no family welcome home. Enter Kenna Sutton, infamous daughter of the base's head Lt. General. Kenna may dress outrageously and is no prude, but she's been hands-off for a long time, thanks to her father.

She is immediately attracted to Beck, as he is with her, and she's determined to make this army genius get the best welcome home he's ever had. She's not anticipating Beck will want to keep her for always.

I loved that while Beck was a virgin, he was so willing to learn how to please, and so vocal. Delicious.

Sophie Jordan's story wasn't as good for me, as I didn't really like the characters. I don't like when the hero "suddenly" is attracted to a long time friend because of alcohol/convenience. Still, it was sexy and nicely tied to Bailey's tale.

Lanie Jacobs is slow to trust, especially since learning her husband really liked collecting wives, but only after he died. So, when she takes on a freelance gig for the Capriotti Winery in Wildstone, CA, she's skeptical of the boisterous family that immediately tries to make her one of their own.

She's also dubious of Mark Capriotti, a sexy former Air Force rescue pilot turned local sheriff who just seems to good to be true. He's too hot, his twin daughters are too lovable, and Lanie just can't believe they might be everything she ever wanted.

When young, pregnant River also blows into town, Lanie thinks she may have just found a new friend. They both share skepticism over the Captriotti's generosity, but also both start to believe they deserve it. Until River let's out the big reason why she landed at the winery...

I just love Jill Shalvis and her small town Contemporaries. They make me feel so good without being cloyingly sweet. Her characters are always well-rounded, realistic, and trope-defying. I really enjoyed both Lanie and River's journeys and that their conflict with each other, while expected, didn't play out stereo-typical way.

Also, Mark. What a stud. Def new book-boyfriend material for me! I know need to learn to boogie board, if only I could get over my fear of sea creatures. The Capriottis can just adopt me already.

I listened to this on audio book and alas, the narrator wasn't exactly what I was hoping for, especially since this is one of my favorite books. BUT, I still love how listening to a favorite book helps my brain slow down and absorb the story in a different way than when I read it.

Re-read 04.06.15 - 04.07.15. Just as gut wrenching and beautiful as I remembered, and having the knowledge of the final outcome made each scene even more heartbreaking and full of hope. The language in this book just makes me want to underline every single sentence and remember it forever. One of my favs.

A dark fantasy world reminiscent of Game of Thrones and post WWII-Europe.

Ten years ago an imposter king invaded and massacred the royal family of Lumatere and exiled one half of its citizens. With no where to go and with a curse preventing them from reentering the kingdom, these exiles suffer in "fever camps" and have no land to call their own. Persecuted, slaughtered, sick, and starving these exiles fear they have no hope. A son of the murdered king's Captain escaped the massacre as a boy and now travels with the King's First Man throughout the land to gather a census of the exiles and try to find them a new home. Finnikin of the Rock, bound by a blood pledge to the throne of Lumatere will soon find himself on a quest to bring the Lumaterans back to their true homeland as he finds out that an heir may still be alive.

Beautiful language, artistic setting, and excellent world building abound. The relationships between the various characters are emotional and all-consuming. These people have been through so much, yet their faith and love toward one another remain so strong. A scene between Finnikin and his father was so simply stated, yet made the heart weep. And don't even get me started on Finnikin and Evanjalin's relationship. Complicated, argumentative, and sizzling. Yow.
“He just watched the way Finnikin’s hands rested on Evanjalin’s neck and he rubbed his thumb along her jaw and the way his tongue seemed to disappear inside her mouth as if he needed a part of her to breathe himself.” Erotic (yet tasteful) but I would still recommend for those aged 15+.

As someone who has no trouble with 900 page tomes, I wish Marchetta would have spent a bit more time building the mythology and world, but hopefully in the sequel!

Talk about hot for teacher! Okay, well hot for the ex-Navy SEAL principal!

Gabe Caldera is wildly attracted to single mom Eden Harwood. She's beautiful, smart, and wicked capable with running her flower shop and keeping her clever 10-year-old daughter on schedule (with some help from a massive white board).

Unfortunately for Gabe, Eden's life is so scheduled out that she thinks she doesn't have time for love, let alone flirt, with the sexy principal, but Gabe is out to convince Eden that even if they only have minutes, those minutes can be enough.

These stolen minutes and time are brought to a grinding halt when the man who fathered Eden's daughter in a secret one night stand comes back into their lives.

Super sexy, super realistic contemporary romance that makes you appreciate the little things in life, the stolen moments. Both characters work hard for what they want, including each other. I especially adored the way Gabe took on making Eden and her daughter happy, even after an initial bad reaction to the reappearance of Eden's lover. The father of Eden's daughter isn't made out to be a villain, which is refreshing.

Highly recommend.

Handmade Houseplants: Remarkably Realistic Plants You Can Make with Paper

Corrie Beth Hogg

DID NOT FINISH

A beautifully arranged craft book for the pro-DIY'er. Lovely, full color photographs of each project with clear steps on how to accomplish them. This book is not for the faint of heart, the newbie, or those on a budget, as most of the projects require a long list of materials to achieve the results. I did appreciate the included templates at the back and enjoyed reading about the various techniques used to achieve the details on each paper plant. Will definitely add to my library's collection.

After realizing living in NYC was not the dream she hoped it would be, Veronica has returned to Jackson, WY where she feels she is pulling one over on everyone. Currently the town's local advice columnist for everything from manners to sex problems, Veronica has a big secret - she's never done it! To make matters worse, her boss wants her to do a weekly, live advice show and she doesn't know how much longer she can keep up the facade. Vowing to start being brave and authentic, Veronica runs into the new, sexy librarian after her first show and she drunkenly spills the beans, all the beans. Gabe cannot believe the confident Veronica he saw on stage is an act and while he initially rejects her drunken request for sex, they start dating. While Veronica is being completely honest for the first time in her life, she finds out Gabe may be keeping his own insecurities secret from her.

SO much fun! I loved the sexy male librarian and it was sweet to see how he helped Veronica boost herself up. He wasn't the cure for her problems (no man is) but he was definitely the shove over the cliff. Can't wait to read more!

I really love this story, especially since Veronica is such a great character. Listening to it on audiobook was a nice treat, even if the narrator was a bit annoying. The way she had Gabe say 'yes' was a little obnoxious.

Also, I really love how the HEA comes from both characters knowing they would be happiest living their lives and working in Jackson. No one is sacrificing.

Woman propositions old friend who is know for his bedroom skills but only does one night stands because he's uber-damaged after the unfortunate death of his fiancee ten years ago, but of course she is the one woman who can make him love again.

The overall storyline was pretty blah for me, but the sex scenes were great. Alas, I totally hated the heroine's nickname and all of the times the hero used it or made up a new play on it. "Honey" was probably said at least 100 times.
