i wanted to like this a lot more than i did, it felt like a slog to get through
hey kids, death is fun! educational but emotionally light
god, this made me feel things that i didn’t expect from a book about translators. RF Kuang is a master of inducing icky feelings, in the best way
it filled a hole in my soul which was made by the hunger games (L. Kimoto, 2022)
kind of predictable, but interesting concept. my biggest issue: WHERE ARE THE ADULTS!! i need them to do better
