Perfectly fine graphic novel about the history of Stonewall and the queer liberation movement in general.

I definitely enjoyed some aspects of this memoir, especially the first half learning about the author’s experience with roller derby. au began to lose attention when it came to the medical side in the back half. I did enjoy hearing about the family drama though. Overall, pretty solid memoir! Could have been trimmed down a bit though.

Awwww, I liked this a lot. Great for young readers. I thought it seemed realistic for the most part, very inspiring for young queer kids in small towns!

This was a fun little mystery! I grabbed this because of the Seattle backdrop and queer rep, and for the most part I’m happy I did. Pretty chill mystery all things considered, also, there was a dog. That makes any book better! Just didn’t hit super hard, hence the rating.

This is exactly what a personal essay memoir should look like! Great relevant stories, very emotional, great for fans of JVN and all their amazingness. :)
Additionally: Highly recommend the audiobook version read by the author!

Oh, my heart. I was really not expecting this to hit as hard as it did. The characters were multidimensional, funny, flawed, and oh so charming. There were little moments that shocked me, and the author did a great job of telling the story! I did wish that the ending hit a little harder though, maybe leaving room for a sequel? I'd love to see where these characters go.

Whewwwwww this was all over the place! A fun read overall, some of the characters made me frustrated at times. Loved the reality TV elements, and the non-binary representation. Also, this was a LOT more sexual than I was expecting, so beware of that.
