Fun and informative read! Illustrated very well. I did skim some parts where it got wordy, but I feel like i’d pick up new info if I reread it.

Huff, not sure about this one. I enjoyed Burroughs memoir, but this short story collection, while funny, made him very unlikeable. The stories were entertaining for sure though, he has lived QUITE the life.

Working my way through all the “I survived” series, and I think this may be my favorite so far! As short as the story is, the author managed to get a whole plot line and characters established. Harrowing yet informative for young readers!

It’s a short story collection! Some good ones, some bad ones, would be a LOT of fun for a middle grade reader interested in some spoopy stories.

Oh, my heart! Dealt with a lot of issues important for a middle-grade audience to read about. Loved the relationship between the two boys, the secret language was great. This book really picked up in the last half, specifically the climax where Jeremy’s father has his alcoholism breakdown in the restaurant, that had me INVESTED.
So yeah, GREAT read, would recommend.
