I'm a huge NBC fan so was really excited to dive into this. The art is great, capturing the dark and whimsical charm of this world.
But the story itself felt a bit lacking. I really loved the early scenes where Oogie Boogie and Jack Skellington had this fun, playful rivalry. I was hoping to see more of that, but it kind of fizzled out.
If you're a fan of Tim Burton, it's definitely worth checking out for the art. But don't expect a mind-blowing story.

Lyds, the main character, is a vampire with a serious food obsession. It's a unique twist, but the pacing was a bit slow and the romance a bit underwhelming. I'd have loved to see more of her relationship with her mom instead.
If you're looking for something different and don't mind a slow burn, it's worth a read.

I love how Hazelwood seamlessly blends humor, romance, and academic rivalry into a captivating story. The nerdy premise and witty banter between the characters had me hooked from the start.
The only downside is that the story felt a bit too short. I could have easily listened to a full-length novel with these characters.
Overall, Two Can Play is a fantastic addition to Hazelwood's repertoire. If you're a fan of her writing or enjoy a good nerdy romance, I highly recommend giving this one a listen.

This offers a unique take on the werewolf genre, focusing on a bored, modern gay man with lycanthropic abilities. Brian, is a refreshing change from the typical brooding werewolf hero. His growth throughout the story is good, and his perspective on the werewolf world is intriguing.

Unfortunately, the pacing is uneven. The middle section felt sluggish, and the toxic "alpha" mentality of Tyler was a bit off-putting. However, it had a pretty satisfying ending, and the supporting characters, particularly Brian's friends, are a highlight.

Overall, this one was a mixed bag but it gave a fresh perspective on the werewolf genre and has potential for future instalments.

This retelling of Persephone's story is fresh, exciting, and full of strong, unforgettable characters. I loved Persephone's sass and independence, Hades' unexpected sweetness, and Styx's unwavering loyalty. Every page was filled with adventure, romance, and powerful female friendships. If you're looking for a captivating and empowering read, this book is definitely for you!

This was so adorable. I loved Ezra and Alix and I’m so happy she stood up to her team at the end. She deserved better. Sad we didn’t see Little Shop of Horrors though. Would have loved a second book with more of the theatre squad and their friendships as they seemed fab. 

I'm finding I'm enjoying these more as the volumes go on. I love the idea of the Sad Ghosts Club. Loved Rue and really felt for them as they dealt with things I've also gone through when I was younger. These are definitely worth picking up if you want a quick read. 

A super quick, funny read. Honestly a little shocked at the ridiculousness of some of these. Definitely worth a read if you love books and want a laugh.

These books have an excellent depiction of anxiety that I really related to. Not really a fan of SG but I love Socks which might be why I enjoyed this one more than the first. The artwork is also stunning. 

After the first few chapters, this felt more like a collection of short stories. I loved the premise and honestly, got a bit teary at some points. A wonderfully, whimsical read with a stunning cover.
