This queer graphic novel was fun, so weird, had a talking dog, and had excellent representation. What's not to enjoy!

I'm a huge fan of William Hussey's writing and this one didn't dissapoint. Such a mysterious and heartbreaking story that had me in tears at the end.

I love Sofie Hagen and now I love her even more after listening to this (I'd highly recommend the audio as Sofie is absolutely hillarious). If you are fat, and even if you're not, I highly recommend this. Especially if you struggle with body/self confidence. Such an honest, thought provoking book.

I went in to this one blind after the husband randomly picked it up for me.
What an honest, beautiful, horrible story, full of joy, pain and all the feels. This book, based on real life events, made me laugh, tear up and learn so much about what it was like to be queer in the 1800s. Well worth a read.

This was such a sweet read and very relatable. I loved how Lily developed and loved her friendship/relationship with Cassie. Cal was also adorable and such a good egg of a human. Definitely recommend for an easy summer read.

While I think I preferred the first book, this was still excellent. It picked up right where Happy Head finished and was even more messed up. It honestly gave me Hunger Games crossed with Handmaid's Tale vibes.

This coming of age story about an indigenous boy figuring out his identy was a great read. It's was my first Australian audio book and the narrator was excellent and really drew you in.

I wasn't sure if I was going to like this due to the amount that Molly grated on me at the start, but I did love her friendship/relationship with Alex who was such a great character. This was completely predictable but I ended up really enjoying it.

I'm not really a fan of reality TV but this was a fun, easy summer read that gives you exactly what you'd expect.

As a nerdy, introvert whose been playing World of Warcraft for 20 years and has met some of my favourite humans because of online games (including my husband), I absolutely adored this book. The MCs were in their late 40s/50s which was a nice change. It had grumpy x sunshine (where he's the sunshine), friends to lovers in the best way, and sticking it to those people who won't love and accept you for who you are. Honestly, his family was awful! I loved how Maggie and Aiden's relationship developed, how she had his back completely through the family drama, and how she helped him understand his asexuality/demisexuality when he'd spent his whole life thinking he was broken. Honestly, Otter and Boggy have my whole heart and this has definitely become a new favourite.
