Is love in the books for a sailor with the reputation for being a ladies’ man and the one girl who is immune to him? King crab fisherman Fox Thornton has a reputation as a player, he’s handsome, charming, and knows that he’s not meant to be in a serious relationship and prefers it that way... until he meets Hannah Bellinger. Hannah works on a film set and has a crush on her director, she dreams about scoring music for films. Hannah and Fox have become unlikely best friends, and soon he finds that she’s turning to him for advice on how to win over her crush. When her film crew is moved to Fox’s town, Hannah finds herself crashing in Fox’s spare room. Soon these two friends start spending more time together and the line between friendship and romance begin to blur. Hannah can’t deny her feelings for Fox but she refuses to be just a hook-up. She wants something real. Fox can’t help but love her, but his insecurities and fears are clawing at him. He’s always been labeled as a player but can he really make a serious relationship work? Will his past demons break this blooming relationship. Can Fox face all his troubles and seize the love of his life or lose her. This was such a lovely story, it dealt with real insecurities and difficulties, and showed the strength and love these characters had. The romance was sweet and caring, Fox and Hannah care for each other deeply. Hannah was a wonderful protagonist, she fought for what she wanted and understood the struggles Fox was going through. This is definitely a beautiful book and relationship and I highly recommend it!

However, in order for Bridget to become Queen she is required to marry royalty and with such a looming date counting down, her forbidden romance with Rhys might just destroy her. Now they will have to figure out if what they have is worth fighting for, or if duty over love is how they will live. This was such a fun read! I loved Bridget and Rhys, I loved the slow building up of romance and the way they both tried to do what was best for the other. I seriously adored this book!

I had so much fun reading this book and was entranced by the magic system and the journey that Ning goes on. This is the first book in the duology but I ALREADY NEED THE SECOND ONE PLEASE!!!!! I love how resourceful Ning is, and how far she is willing to go to help her family. The political war going on in the palace was also a really interesting back drop for the story and I can’t wait to see where the second book goes!
