Cackle

A new home, a new friend, and a new life. Annie has always played it safe and has yearned to find someplace where she feels accepted, where she has friends, where she is loved... After being broken up with her boyfriend of 10 years because the “spark” between them has fizzled up but they still share an apartment.. Annie decides it’s time to get a fresh start. She accepts a teaching position that moves her from her Manhattan apartment to a small village. The village is cozy, everyone is friendly, and picturesque. She has a cute new apartment... the only catch is there is an odd persistent spider infestation. Then she meets Sophie. Beautiful, mysterious, sweet and charming Sophie who treats her with affection from the get go. Annie has never met anyone like Sophie and she can’t seem to pull away. But she begins to notice strange things with how the town treats Sophie, how Sophie speaks sometimes... but the friendship is everything Annie has ever wanted. Sophie supports her, cares for her, and loves her in a way Annie has never experienced. However the townsfolk act a little afraid of Sophie, and soon Annie has to ask herself who to believe and if Sophie is someone Annie can trust. Annie has to start asking herself if she can keep playing it safe or take a risk and discover more. This was such a cute and cozy witch story about friendship and finding confidence and love for yourself. It’s got magic, friendship, and a very adorable spider named Ralph!
