Basically a book of Instagram posts. Not my favorite
informative fast-paced

While the photographer were gorgeous, her instance on Pink Himalayan sea salt (um, first off, expensive, second, what about iodine?) was a turn off. It also felt like while this cookbook was supposed to be for everyday recipes, most I would only have time and effort for on a weekend.

In general I liked this book. I liked the almost vignettes of stories from growing up in Prince Rupert and being a First Nation member with a white best friend. There were a couple of formatting and grammatical errors (the language was spelled differently a couple of times), but it didn't hurt the readability. Definitely one to keep in mind for a middle-grade reader!

This book has HORRIBLE ebook formatting but I try to overlook that in ARCs. Onto content...I wasn't sure who the target audience was age-wise. Some discussions were geared maybe towards teens but some were more adult in nature. As an ace person myself, I did find myself nodding along thru a good portion of it. (Although I will say I was horrified to read the author saying sexuality can be a choice.) So a decent primer on ace life but not quite sure for whom

In general, I liked this memoir. I did wonder some practicalities like how a woman who hadn't biked any significant distances before minus one long race, biked hundreds of miles a day repeatedly, but that is neither here nor there. I enjoyed the history backstories and loved most of the stories from the people in the countries she visited.

What I could have done without, was her constant descriptions of derelict housing where she stayed, as well as in the beginning her almost ceaseless mentions of alcohol. Like that first night camping when she realized she had forgotten her gin? Surely spending that night sober was not the worst thing to have happened.
