Children of immigrants will be able to relate a lot to this book. I was intrigued by the characters, complex relationships, and Preeti’s journey back to her roots. This book highlighted the intricacies of intercultural communication, such as individualism vs. collectivism, which anyone who has experienced a different culture can understand. I breezed through this highly enjoyable story.

Great for those looking for a Little Mermaid retelling and fans of “To Kill a Kingdom”. Though the ending is predictable, the characters and romance are enjoyable.

As a fan of the “Unlocking Us” podcast, I read this entire book in Brene’s voice. I am not a big fan of nonfiction and research essays, but Brene always finds a way to make her work relatable and human.

This beautiful book has changed my perspective about emotions. I learned key differences in emotions that often get mixed together, but are actually very different. This is a great book not just to better understand your feelings but also helps people who have emotionally taxing careers. “Atlas of the Heart” would benefit and enrich anyone who reads it.

I was intrigued at first, but then things started to go all over the place. Things seemed very rushed, and the characters fell flat for me.
