This a noir, the story of a man apparently normal but who running away from his past, and the hunt to try to catch him.
It's a great story, the perfect depiction of men who were involved with Nazism but were also very normal. The banality of evil that makes hard to think about such men and the horror they caused.
The author was an excellent storyteller and the story flows keeping the attention alive.

This is not my favorite in this series even if it's a solid and entertaining historical mystery, just a bit slower ihmo.
I enjoyed it and can't wait to read the next novel.

It's been quite a long time since last I read an Enora's mystery and was glad to catch up with this interesting and likeable characters.
I had a lot of fun in reading this story, the solid mystery kept me guesssing, and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

My mother taught me to use herbs and I know about the tradition of my hometown. This was an interesting and well researched book that made me learn more and I liked it.
It's well written and compelling even if a bit too fast at times.

I cried, I smiled and loved every moment of this heartwarming and poignant story. it's a story about life, about finding happiness and changing.
Algernon, Anna and the other characters are able to learn to live and not to survived. I loved how they learned and how the author plotted this story.

I found it darker than the first book but also more gripping and fascinating. The mix of thriller and paranormal works well and there're some very creepy moments.
I had fun and thoroughly enjoyed it as the storytelling is excellent and the characters fleshed out.

Another excellent addition to Johnstone&Hitchens mystery series. There's plenty of twists, there's a man who was sentenced but he could be innocent, there're young girls who are being killed.
I was hooked since the first pages and the solid mystery kept me reading and guessing.
Great character development and plotting.

What a ride! It starts with a bang and never stopped surprising me. it was like peeling an onion: there's something on the top but there's core you will discover only after you peeled.
It starts with a missing girl and another one killed, secrets. It's one of those cases when you never know who can be trusted.
Fast paced, adrenaline-filled, twisty. Lisa Regan delivers a great story, the best so far.
It's a page turner that kept me reading till late as I wanted to know what happened.
I had fun and thoroughly enjoyed. I loved how Josie is more relaxed and less tormented and i was glad to catch up with the fleshed characters of this series.
It can be read as a stand alone but I recommend to read the rest of the series.
This one is strongly recommended.
