This is one of my favourite series and I read this book in a setting so the rating cannot be less than five stars.
At the beginning I was a bit perplexed as it seemed to be a reprise of the first book, similar themes and characters.
Reading it I discovered an engaging and entertaining plot and some interesting developments in the characters.
I think it closes with a sort of cliff hanger and I suppose this means there will be more installment.
It found it better than the previous one, I loved being back in Norfolk and meeting again the old gang.
I look forward to reading the next one.

This book was quite entertaining and enjoyable.
It's a bit slow at the beginning but after the first chapters the pace gets faster and it becomes full of twists and turns.
It's well written, with interesting and engaging characters.
I liked the world building and I liked the story being told by two different point of view.

A good hard boiled mystery, engaging and entertaining.
The book is good, with some minor issue, and it's a fascinating mix of paranormal, romance, historical fiction, and mystery.
I like the part about the spell and the witches, I'd have preferred some more world building because it let me with a lot of questions about how it worked.
The mystery was good and it keeped me hooked till the last page.
I think that the two weakest point were the sex scenes, a bit boring, and the two POV that can cause some confusion.
I'd like to read more books with these characters and with some more building.

This is one of my favorite series and this book was a lot of fun to read as the other installment.
The plot is bit more complex than usual with a somewhat darker tone.
It was great to meet again the cast of quirky characters, both human and feline, and see what was going on in their life.
I loved Merlin sleepwalking and this book made me laugh out loud more than once.
The mystery was very good and it kept me guessing till the end.
A very enjoyable and entertaining book.

A very interesting and engaging book!
It's a well researched historical fiction that is full of interesting details and memorable characters.
I loved the well written characters, the plot and the descriptions.
I learnt something new because I never heard before of blue skinned people.
It's the first book I read by this author and it won't surely be the last.

I loved this book, it was an entertaining and engaging read.
It's heartwarming, really funny and sometimes it moved me to tears.
I loved the human characters, the couple was great but the grandma was perfect, and I loved Valentine.
The pace, the timing are perfect, the style of writing very good.
It would be nice to read other books with this great cast of characters.
I look forward to reading other books by this author.

I loved this book, I loved the stories and how it talks about food.
It's a sort of mix of a graphic novel and cook book.

What a good book! It's enthralling and entertaining, once you start you cannot put it down.
I read a lot of very good review of this book and was curious.
Once I started I was hooked and I can say that Ms Spain is a master storyteller.
The cast of characters was fascinating, they're well written and fleshed out. They're not likable and each of them has secrets that will be revealed during the book.
I liked the couple of detectives, they were the most likable characters.
The inhabitants of the community sometimes seemed to be seen in a satirical way, each with their quirk and secrets.
The end was totally unexpected and it made me gasp and laugh at the same time.
I think there's a lot of humour and I liked it.
A very good book, I look forward to reading other books by Ms Spain.
