I head a lot about Amitav Ghosh but this was the first work I read and I throughly appreciated it.
It's novella, well written and full of food for though as it reminds us that we are all at risk due to human greed.

i'm a fan of Golden Age mysteries and this one pays homage to those whodunit in a clever way.
It's a compelling, gripping, and highly entertaining mystery that kept me hooked. I loved the well crafted plot and the solid mystery.

I loved all the instalments in Ashes and Dust series, an excellent paranormal romance series.
I thoroughly enjoyed the plots, rooted for the characters, and had fun.
I can't wait to read the next book by Jenn Burke as I always enjoy them.
This one is compelling and kept me reading.

I liked this book, liked how it talks about everyday life and what can happen. It's poignant and heartwarming at the same time as it moved me to tears and made me laugh.
There's food for thought and a MC who isn't likeable and grated a bit on my nerves. Ellie is very naif, very juvenile but her character arc is interesting as it's a travel to understand her father that will also involve her and her life.
The author is a good storyteller and I liked the style of writing.
I recommend this book. Please not that it could not be the best choice if you are conservative (if you are European any reference to progressive idea is very vanilla

I fell in love with the cover and then I fell in love with this heartwarming and entertaining story.
A cast of quirky and likeable characters, a compelling plot, lovely setting.
I thoroughly enjoyed it and it's escapism at it's best.

An entertaining mix of classic action&adventure and sci-fi that kept me turning pages as I thoroughly enjoyed it.
It's a bit slow at the beginning but after a few chapters it becomes a fast paced novel that kept me reading.
I appreciated the storytelling and the world building
It was the first book I read by this author and will try others as I read it's a bit different from his other work.
This one is recommended if you want to read an entertaining story, a bit old fashioned at times but compelling.
