I'm always fascinated by Conn Iggulden's stories and this one is gripping and fascinating.
Pericles is one of my favorite historical characters and this fast paced book re-imagine his early life.
The characters and the historical background are well developed and I thoroughly enjoyed this book.

I think there's a lot of potential and good ideas but the pace was too slow and it didn't keep my attention
Not my cup of tea

3,5 upped to 4*
I'm a bit on the fence as I liked the world building and the storytelling but i wasn't a fan of the characters.
It's enjoyable and compelling but some more character development would help.

The books in this series are always a treat and made me discover some authors that are favorite now.
This one is a good anthology of stories featuring animals and it's a mixed bag. Some are quite good, some were not my cup of tea.
It's an interesting read as it's a way to discover some author and stories.

An atmospheric, gripping, and enthralling traditional whodunnit that kept me guessing since the first pages.
I fell in love with the creepy atmosphere of the island, the fleshed out characters, and the complex puzzle kept me guessing.
An excellent mystery that I strongly recommend.

I don't think this is a dystopia as there's some many things like in our world. It's speculative fiction at its best, the representation of a world so similar to ours.
It's terrifying and fascinating at the same time as the topics it deals with like capitalism, hyper-connection, climate crisis.
The characters are realistic and fleshed out.
Samit Basu's storytelling is good and I liked the style of writing.
It's not a heartwarming and funny book but it's an interesting book.

There's potential in this series and I appreciated how the author dealt with a serious topic like cancer survivor.
There's empathy but the characters are real people and I liked how they were developed.
The mystery is solid and the setting interesting.
