It's one of those "Me, not the book case". It's well written and well plotted but I didn't care for the characters and the story fell flat.
Not my cup of tea.

Interesting eye opener on the reality of the net economy and what can be behind the glitter.
Different cases and reality, a well researched and well written book.
Highly recommended.

An interesting start, a plot full of promises but the story didn't keep my attention and feel flat.

An enthralling and riveting book, entertaining in a bizarre way and full of food for thought.
I loved and hated it at the same time, felt bored and couldn't stop reading.
It could be defined a experimental novel but it's also a classic dystopia at times.
And it's a hell to review it because it's very far from any standard dystopia or sci-fi.
Let's call it an experience and a mental exercise.
I recommend it if you are willing to try and experience it

I think we are back in the world of A Royal Wedding series, a world that could be the perfect setting for an operetta, something like The Merry Widow (I'm a fan of genre, highly recommended.
The book is written tongue in cheek and I had fun since the first pages as it made fun of what could have been a real introduction to a country history.
There were a lot of promises in those first pages and the plot maintains them and I thoroughly enjoyed it and had a lot of fun.
There's a sweet romance and I rooted for the characters, there's a historical background with plenty of rules especially if you are a lady belonging to royalty.
Julie London took all these ingredients and delivered a compelling and highly entertaining book.
Have fun in reading it, it's highly recommended.

Netgalley can be a great way to discover new series and I discovered this one a couple of year ago.
It was love at first page and I read in one setting. It had a bizarre side effect because I use to read mostly traditional and cozy mystery and the story changed my taste,
I've been waiting for two years for this one and all of my high expectations were met.
It was another story I read in one setting as was involved in Holly and Bishop personal story and fascinated by the investigation in the terrible killings.
It's a nail biting, twisty, and quite dark story that kept me on the edge, a page turner I couldn't put down.
Great plot and character development, excellent storytelling.
I can't wait to read the next story.
Highly recommended.

Another compelling and entertaining story featuring Pentecost and Parker, I thoroughly enjoyed it and couldn't put it down.

Ursula is a fascinating character and this story tells about her life, her magic, and how she coped with the hardship.
It's not a fast paced book but I thoroughly enjoyed it as the characters are fleshed out and the plot is well developed.
Another good story by this author.
