It was an entertaining and sweet romance, I rooted for the characters and like the well plotted story.
It's fast paced, well developed and it can be read as a stand alone even if it's the third in a series.

I'm a huge fan of Allison Brennan and I was very excited to read this new thriller.
A podcaster investigating a crime, member of a sorority that could hide secrets, a former marshal still grieving the murder of her son.
A small town, plenty of secrets and a lot of people who could be involved and guilty.
It was a gripping and riveting read, I was hooked since the first pages and couldn't stop reading till the last pages.
There's a lot of unexpected turns, a twisty and dark plot, a solution that was not a surprise but somehow surprised me.
It's an excellent thriller and I would be glad to read other stories featuring these characters.
Highly recommended.

I'm not a huge fan of Christian fiction but the romantic suspense in this series are quite good and the blurb was interesting.

I like Valerie Hansen's style of writing and enjoyed this romantic suspense: fast paced, action paced and grippping.
I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Action packed, entertaining and gripping: it was an excellent story that kept me turning pages and I appreciated the characters, the very tense plot and the romance.
It's the first I read in this series and made wish to read the others.

I thoroughly enjoyed this compelling and entertaining cozy mystery: it's well written, the characters are likeable and fleshed out, the historical background well researched.
The mystery is solid and kept me guessing.
Can't wait to read another book in this series.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

This is not the usual ghost story as it's not by the haunted but by the ghost. A clever, curious ghost of Rachel, a woman who was killer, and is now observing the people living in her former house and trying to guess who-did-it.
It's a gripping and dark story that kept me turning pages as I was fascinated by Rachel and wanted to know who-did-it
The author is a good storyteller and did in excellent job in developing this story, the characters, and the world building.
Rachel is an interesting and well developed character: we meet her as a ghost but we also read entries from her diary when she was alive.
There's a lot of secrets and twists, it's quite fast paced and the solid mystery kept me guessing.
I can't wait to read another book by this author.
Highly recommended.

A gripping and entertaining historical mystery with a paranormal side and some creepy moments.
It's an highly entertaining and engrossing story, it kept me hooked and I was fascinated by Letitia and her work as a medium.
She's a complex character with a backstory we learn reading the book. I liked how the author dealt with her story and how she made us learn it.
The cast of characters is interesting and well developed. Alasdair, the other MC, is another well developed and fascinating character.
The world building is fascinating and the historical background well researched and detailed.
The plot is well crafted, the pace is right and it's not easy to guess the twists. I found the solution satisfying and well done.
I want to read other books by this author, this one is highly recommended.

A new to me author and series, it won't be the last book I read as I thoroughly enjoyed this one.
There's plenty of chemistry between the characters, I liked and rooted for them.
The author did a good job in developing them as well as the plot and the setting.
Good storytelling and fast paced.

3,5 rounded up
I read somewhere this is the last book in this series and I'm a bit sad because it's one my favorite.
That said this isn't my favorite book in the series as I found it a bit disjointed: a first part full of promises, a central part dragging and full of repetition, the last part rushed.
I was happy to catch up with the characters and I was happy to meet again Violet, Emerson and the cast of characters.
I liked the mystery but I found the solution a bit rushed and I was able to guess the culprit soon.
I enjoyed it, had fun but I was expecting more as this always was an excellent series.
I don't think it can work as a standalone even if there's plenty of backstory but it will be appreciated by people who read the other books.
