The Ghosts of Thorwald Place
by Helen Power
This is not the usual ghost story as it's not by the haunted but by the ghost. A clever, curious ghost of Rachel, a woman who was killer, and is now observing the people living in her former house and trying to guess who-did-it.
It's a gripping and dark story that kept me turning pages as I was fascinated by Rachel and wanted to know who-did-it
The author is a good storyteller and did in excellent job in developing this story, the characters, and the world building.
Rachel is an interesting and well developed character: we meet her as a ghost but we also read entries from her diary when she was alive.
There's a lot of secrets and twists, it's quite fast paced and the solid mystery kept me guessing.
I can't wait to read another book by this author.
Highly recommended.
Many thanks to Helen Power and Blackthorn Book Tours for this ARC, all opinions are mine
