An anthology of short stories is usually a mixed bag: some are top level, some are good, and some a re bit meh.
This is not the case, assuming a rating on 10 base, they're all over 8/10.
A group of well known master joined forces and you can feel they had a lot of fun in writing these short stories: a lot of dark humour, unexpected twists, a very high level of entertainment.
It starts with a bang and the level is never under "WOW": I think all the possible range of motives, killing means and type of stories were featured.
My favorite:
Ann Cleeves - The Queen of Mystery : a humorous and satirical description of a mystery convention with an expected twists. I loved the description and loved the final twist
Martin Edwards –Bad Friday: It starts as a very realistic description of crowded train travel and the final twists came as a surprise
Kate Ellis –My Oleander: it could be a classic whodunnit with a locked room puzzle. It is and something more
Even if I listed these three stories I loved them all and this anthology made me discover some new to me author (my TBR is groaning)
Highly recommended.

I love Essex Witch Museum Mysteries, an excellent series that mixes mystery, humour and paranormal creating gripping and highly entertaining stories.
I read The Twelve Strange Days of Christmas and appreciated Syd Moore’s skill in writing short stories of different types: from humorous to creepy.
The Twelve Even Stranger Days Of Christmas is another anthologies of short stories I thoroughly enjoyed.
These stories are an excellent example of the author’s versatility as they are well written regardless of the genre: paranormal mystery, creepy, horror, humorous. There’s a very funny retelling of White Snow, there’s a very creepy story with some echo of Simon R. Green (please consider it a compliment as he’s one of my fav fantasy writers). There’s also a visit to the Witch Museum and it’s always a pleasure read something form the series.
This is a blog tour I couldn’t miss as I love the author and her style of writing.
I can’t wait to read another story in Essex Witch Museum, this anthology is highly recommended.

I didn't read a lot about the history of contemporary Ireland and this book was an excellent and fascinating way to learn something.
The author is a good storyteller and mixes his personal story with the history and what meant living in Ireland.
It talks about life but also about the influx of the Church, the scandals.
The storytelling is excellent and it's an intriguing read.
Highly recommended.

I appreciated the previous books in this series but I struggled a bit as I had difficulties in understanding the plot and caring for the characters.
It's a "me-not-the-book" case but it's not my cup of tea at the moment.

A sweet, heartwarming and poignant Christmas story. Sheila Roberts never disappoints and this story made me smile and moved.
The characters are fleshed out and relatable, the plot kept me reading.

A good and compelling Christmas story, a bit darker than the rest and quite enjoyable.
There's plenty of emotions, drama, flawed characters and a lovely setting.
I liked the characters and liked how their relationship evolves.
Fleshed out characters, lovely setting.

There's a lot of questions in this mystery, a lot of secrets, and a quest for solving a murder.
It's a gripping and twisty novel that kept me reading till late in the night.
It's a character driven whodunnit that I thoroughly enjoyed and couldn't put down as I wanted to understand who-did-it and what are the reasons.
Angela is a very interesting, clever and strong woman that I like. The most interesting character is Cynthia, a sort of red woman with a past: I liked/disliked her but I also think she's the most complex character.
The mystery kept me guessing and the twists surprised me.
Highly recommended.

I think this is a sort of alternate history featuring two historical characters and a possible romance.
It was good way to learn something about Theodosia Burr, interesting character, and a pleasant read.
I'm not an expert of the specific historical time but I liked the vivid historical background and think that the characters are fleshed out.
I enjoyed it and it's recommended.
