This is one of my favorite historical mystery series and Chris Nickson never disappoints as he always delivers gripping and highly entertaining story.
The great characters and their personal stories, the excellent mix of historical facts and fictions, the solid mysteries are a constant in these riveting stories.
This one is no exception and I thoroughly enjoyed.
I think it's a bit darker and more complex than usual and these aspects made the story even more interesting.
I thoroughly enjoyed and read it in one setting.
Highly recommended.

Ashes of the Sun was an excellent fantasy and this one is even better.
It starts slow and it slowly brings to turn pages, becoming faster and a page turner you can't put down.
It's gripping and entertaining, the world building is even more fascinating, and the characters are well developed and their evolution well done.
I can't wait to read the next book by this author.
Highly recommended.

A thought provoking and well researched book, it made me think about innovation and how it's a term largely used as it takes time before some inventions are marketed.
The author delivers and I think this is a very interesting book.
