Well written and exactly what I wanted/needed to read right now

Lovely, raw, I never wanted it to end

Maybe it's because I already felt this way, but nice to hear detailed reasons for the way I was feeling!

Referenced works to look over later:

- The Bed of Procrustes by Taleb (2016)

Book by Andrew Pettegree
- You Are What You Read: Why Changing Your Media Diet Can Change the World
Book by Jodie Jackson

Loved it more by the end. Interestingly intricate.

So nice to have adult books with YA flavour (and without the annoying bits)

Nice and easy read with great world building and emotion.

Easy entertaining read

As I listened to this and the first one as an audiobook, read by the immensely talented Michael Sheen, I think the length bothered me much less than other people.

While it wasn’t always the sort of thing I’d listen to for hours on end at a time, I was interested with where Philip Pullman was taking me and learning more about this world, even if I thought some of his creative choices were strange.

Interested for the next one, which I will definitely get as an audiobook.
