i’ve never read a book that felt like poetry. this book was beautiful
not gonna lie i picked up this book because i thought Dame Maggie Smith who played Professor Mcgonagall in harry potter wrote this and it wasn’t until the last page that shows the author on it did i realize it is not indeed Dame Maggie Smith but a different one.
i was very impressed dame maggie smith managed to do poetry and writing in her free time but i am nonetheless impressed with this maggie smith’s writing and poetry in her free time.
cute useful thoughts to help you get through life and keep going.
definitely recommend for people dealing with loss, it doesn’t discuss loss in-depth but has many quotes and advice about dealing with loss.
the book is sporadic short stories with about 20 pages of “post it note advice” in between each one. quick read but cute

this one is actually pretty alright. the characters have development and go on fun adventures together this time on a boat!
however the movie is actually better than the book :/
this is solely because caspian in the book is still a whiny kid where caspian in the movies is a good king and he still struggles like any person but he doesn’t make as many childish mistakes as he does in the books
the religious metaphors are yet again over the top

in comparison to her other novels this one just isn’t as good.
i listened to it as an audiobook and for some reason found it hard to tell the characters apart.
the story follows two sisters and their struggles with finding a man with misunderstandings and successes.

exciting quirky sci-fi
told from the perspective of Klara, and artificial intelligence friend, who as an unreliable narrator depicts her life starting from living in a store to being bought as a child’s companion. the plot was enticing and left me feeling a little spooked but the ending was honestly really tame and not as exciting as i’d hoped.
5 stars because the writing is good and the story is interesting from an interesting character with a character arc

i thought this was a children’s book series????
this book is so weird and 0/10 would not read it to a kid
SPOILERS
i can’t believe they kill everyone off????? what the rest of the book makes not sense but then they all die and for what???? it also breaks the whole religious metaphor a bit and i don’t understand why aslan would just destroy his world and make a better perfect one it’s dumb

not only educational but also extremely interesting with many mini stories and tie ins as examples pulling from her personal experience as a Korean American growing up in america and from historical references like the Korean and Vietnamese wars and also a Korean writer artist. beautifully written
a quick short story about a woman who works at a convince store all her life and doesn’t understand social cues. She thrives in the strict daily schedule of the convenience store but is ridiculed by society for “not going anywhere with her life”.
Touches on many points regarding roles in society specifically gender roles and how as a society we should judge people less for their choices in life.
there was also a creepy male freeloading character

Plot follows a human girl twin who is raised by her fairy step father in Fairyland. She faces discrimination as a human and lives in constant fear of the trickery of fairies.
It was hyped on Tiktok a lot but I feel like it was just ok. The plot is super obvious and the characters were ok. I think what makes this book stand out for me is the fairy mythology since I haven't read many fairy-themed fantasy books. It includes things such as fairy's cant lie, fairys are tricksters, and fairy fruit will make you delusional and complacent. There is a scene where the main character essentially gets roofied on fairy fruit and 0/10 not a good plot point.
Overall I think this book is just being hyped since it is a enemies to lovers plot but I dunno it seemed mostly enemies to me, maybe the other two books with have more romance.
