Loved it. Super captivating. Ok I'm back writing the review after reading Book 2. Book 1 was so good that I literally couldn't make myself wait 10 minutes and write this review before jumping into the next book.

God, this book is really great. I honestly can't believe that I came to like Parker by the end of the book, because he's so petulant and argumentative at the beginning. There is a really great character arc for him in this book (and continuing in the 2nd book) where he is forced to grow up (although he still stays as himself at the core). The reader gets to witness this change since the whole of this book is in Parker's POV. It's great to get to know Parker pretty well. He definitely acts out and speaks in anger when he's upset and scared. He has no tact whatsoever and he's constantly putting his foot in his mouth. But his penchant for rambling definitely comes in handy once his ramblings become nonstop dirty talk.

Keira Andrews is just such a freaking good writer.
This one is 4.5 stars to me. Really great. The beginning kinda broke my heart but I was also proud of Ethan. Clay is a kind soul and I fell in love with him too. Such an enjoyable book!

I hardly ever DNF books because I have a compulsion to finish everything. So in addition to the first 52%, I also read the last chapter and epilogue because I still needed to know how it ended.
Anyway here are my reasons for DNFing:
1. Cringey and repetitive dialogue.
2. Pet names that didn't work for me. Example: "my nerdy babe"
3. Excessive full-naming. So many people are full-naming people all the time! and with first, middle, and hyphenated last names that is ... too much.
and then a couple sentences later...
4. You cannot talk with a cock in the mouth. Especially not multiple sentences. I will die on this hill.
and that's not the only example of this.

I have mixed feelings about this book.
It was clearly very well written. It was my first book by this author, and I wish I had read something else first, because this one didn't do it for me. But I also feel guilty saying that because I could tell it'll be a good book for the right person.
What really did do it for me was the carrying around in this book. I freaking love when MCs have huge size differences and the bigger one carries the little one around.

This is such an enjoyable novella! If anyone is thinking of skipping this and reading Losers I and II without The Dare first, I’d strongly urge you to reconsider.
This is more of a M/F feel (with some sharing) rather than RH, and normally that wouldn’t be my thing, but this is so good. It also has a bunch of kink in it that aren’t my kinks, but this book makes me like them. It’s really hot and it sets the stage well for the Losers Duet.
This is such an enjoyable novella! If anyone is thinking of skipping this and reading Losers I and II without The Dare first, I’d strongly urge you to reconsider.
