What Comes After was a slow burn, with a great payoff of lovable characters, a town mystery and the sweetest dog. I believe lovers of Beartown will enjoy this story that follows an abandoned 16 year and two adults that have experienced traumas. The author beautifully crafts their journey to redefine love and family.
I would gladly read 600 more pages of this story. Such beautiful writing and a captivating story. Not all characters were likable... were any of them?? But I loved them all!
