Finally some proper character development! They really gave us a taste of who Daisy is and her past in the comic which was amazing and honestly would have been really interesting to learn while they were developing Esther & Susan but whatever... Also, speaking of Susan. She either needs to move on or get back together with McGraw because they are dragging this thing OUT. 😤

Honestly, did anything even happen in this comic? Sometimes it really feels like the writers don't know what to do with their characters.

This was amazing. I said this last year when I read The Rules of Magic but, I think I've fallen in love with Alice Hoffman's writing this year as well as her characters. I really think that if you loved Wild Beauty by Anna-Marie McLemore you would love this duology.

I feel like for uni students these guys don't actually go to classes all that often. Also, again we have a full comic that basically forgets about Daisy and she has no character development. I feel like this series is the Esther show with Susan on the sidelines and Daisy there whenever they need something super weird to go down.

I'm really torn on this one. On one hand, there were parts of this that I really enjoyed, but on the other hand, so much of this felt rushed and kind of boring. Honestly, I prefer the movies, which I know is not a popular opinion.

I really enjoyed this one but I still don't really feel like I know the characters yet for some reason. Hopefully, they'll develop a bit more in the subsequent volumes.

I really enjoyed this one a lot more than I did volume 1. The characters feel less one dimensional and more like Uni students in their first year. I'm hoping to see more character exploration for Daisy though because the series seems to focus more on Susan & Esther. I'm really interested to see how she explores her sexuality throughout the series and to see whether or not Esther ever realises how gone for her Ed is.

I thought this was going to be a really deep look into the life of a blogger vs what we're like irl but it turned out to be a weird murder mystery feat. lots of stalking. Not my thing. At. All.

Even though this was a tad underwhelming I kind of don't care because I have such a deep love for this series. This wasn't a perfect finale but I did still love reading it. I'll definitely be re-reading this series a bunch more times in the future.

I'm so torn about this book. On one hand, this was an amazing motivator for me finally putting a passcode on my phone, but on the other hand, this book this book was kind of boring. I did really enjoy this and I loved how no characters were 100% good (except maybe Curtis), especially Joe & Beck, but overall, the story felt a bit rushed (a lot happened and I can't really tell how long the characters knew each other) and while the writing style really worked at some points, it really annoyed me at others.

Really, my feelings are mixed but overall I did really like reading this I just don't ever think I'll re-read it. (Don't hate me, but you should all go watch the show, Penn Badgley deserves a medal for his performance.)
