Woah. 🤯 I absolutely loved this one and it has me so excited to read book 4 whenever the audiobook comes out. I loved Josh and Jules together (and apart, which is always important to me) but, there was one scene towards the 85%(ish) mark that completely ruined Josh's character for me. I loved every other thing about this book (except for one glaring plot hole) and I can't wait to see them cameo in the next book. Also, did I spot Dante??? From King of Wrath??? I can't wait to meet him in 2022/2023

I absolutely adored this and now I want to go back and reread the first book too! I loved Eros and Psyche and I can't wait to see them cameo in future books! This was an absolute blast and I loathed having to pause reading it to go and make dinner. Don't be surprised if you see me reading book 3 asap!

Wow, was there a single metaphor that the author left out of this book??? 😂 Seriously though, the writing took me a second to get used to. I honestly didn't love the insta-love and I really didn't fall for Juliette and Adam's romance at all. I am considering continuing this series but I'll have to really consider whether I want to listen to the audiobooks or not because the narrator for this one was not good as Juliette.

I was so nervous going into this because I really had no idea what to expect, other than that CoHo's books always come with a list of triggers. I'm ngl bookstagram had me thinking this might be a dark romance but it's actually a detailed story of abuse (which is not a criticism) and I'm guessing book two is actually the healthy romance everyone was talking about???
This was a solid read but I won't be running to the bookstore to pick up another CoHo book because honestly, this was mentally exhausting.

I've been reading this god damn book for 2 god damn days and I'm somehow only 25% of the way through it. I'm just not liking a single thing about this one and I already looked up what happens in the rest of the trilogy so I can safely say I have no idea what TikTok is going on about because this book is ridiculous and not good. No thank you.

Oh boy, I really didn't see aliens coming after I read the blurb but, okay Matthew Reilly I'll read anything you write at this point. Honestly, this was probably me least favourite MR book that I've read so far, just because you could really tell it was his debut novel. But, other than that this very much felt like a Matthew Reilly action adventure and I loved the idea of using the New York State Library as a labyrinth! And once again, I'm genuinely surprised that none of his works have been adapted to the screen yet.

I fucking loved every second of this. I rarely jump out of my chair to cheer for the main character but I did that a lot with this one.

This was absolutely not the vibe. A Lesson in Thorns had so much potential and I genuinely thought it was going to be a new favourite that I would tear through in a couple of hours. But it actually ended up being one of the most boring books I've read so far this year. This was a real slog to get through and I'll be honest, I just didn't believe a single line of this book. I couldn't have given two hoots about the ritual if you'd paid me and I honestly don't think any of the characters would have either, it was just an excuse to be voyeuristic (which would be fine, if that's all this book was trying to be). I would've loved it if ALiT just explored the sex and the main characters in the group. But instead, we have a weird murder, angsty and pretentious love interests and absolutely no reasoning for any of it.
