It’s a no from me. This is a perfect example of how the hate to love & marriage of convenience tropes can go wrong. And oh boy, usually I can find something about the main couple that I like, individually and together but Lottie was annoying and Huxley was an utter arse.

"You smell like candy canes and pinecones and epic and awesome."

I am blown away right now. It's 10:30 at night and I just binge-read the rest of this book in like, 3 hours because I absolutely could not put it down. I love T J Klune's writing and I adore every single member of the pack and I honestly did not see any of this coming. I mean, I knew I already liked the writing but, I just love Joe and Ox's relationship so darn much and I loved how they played off of the other characters so much. Do not be surprised if you see me reading the rest of the series asap! I really think Ox Matheson might be one of my favourite book characters of all time.

Also, I just wanted to make a note here about the age gap. All I'd seen or heard about this romance was that it was an age gap (5-6 years, if I'm remembering correctly) and that Ox meets Joe when he's 16 and Joe is literally a 10-year-old kid. But, Ox never so much as thinks about him in any other way than a platonic best friend way until Joe turns 17 and then it's suddenly like bam, I think I like like him, but he doesn't act on that until Joe turns 18, and then really nothing happens for a long time after that. So, you can rest assured that there is 100% no grooming in this book. I just wanted to quickly mention that because it was a concern I had going into this book and oh boy, am I relieved now!

This was well-written but not my favourite. That being said, I think this would make an amazing movie along the lines of adaptations like To All The Boys and The Summer I Turned Pretty.

I definitely enjoyed Talia's book more this time around, but it doesn't hold a candle to the first two books!

My least favourite book in the series so far but I think that's just because I rarely love second-chance relationships. This is the longest book in the series so far but, I felt like I never really got to know Talia or Foster, compared to the other characters in the first two books. I'll definitely still continue the series because I love The Edens, but this was my least favourite so far.

my ranking so far
1. Juniper Hill (book 2) ⭐⭐⭐.5
2. Indigo Ridge (book 1) ⭐⭐⭐
3. Garnet Flats (book 3) ⭐⭐⭐

This world is so cinematic and aesthetically cool, but this book was truly anything but legendary.

I had some issues with this but overall it was still enjoyable. Look at my updates for context.

Well, that was underwhelming, to say the least. Finale really just felt like Stephanie Garber had a bunch of scenes she wanted to use and then she just picked them all out of a hat and decided to order them that way. This book felt way too long and wayy too chaotic, and this is just a personal preference, but there was wayyyy too much Donatella and not enough Scarlett (that being said, Scarlett's storyline was stupid as all get out).

This is perfect for anyone who's not super into really scary horror or thriller reads but who still wants something fun and a lil spooky. This would be the perfect Halloween read! I loved the colours and the general vibe of this graphic novel, and I would totally read about Lora and Alexa again in the future!
