Second chance romances truly are some of my least favourite romances but, I did enjoy this one. I really wish there'd been more time to explore Grayson and Jessica's relationship with each other and to get to know the town more but, I get the feeling a lot of Corrine Michaels' books are going to leave me wanting more like this one did. That being said, I did really enjoy this one and it was a super quick read so I'm sure I'll continue the series in the future!

I am blown away right now, this is my favourite Lucy Score book to date!! The miscommunication messiness grated on me in the third act but I am honestly such a sucker for the renovation reality show aspect of the show and how much I really enjoyed Gannon and Paige together. Their better was A+! Once again, this book is proof of why I love and adore kind love interests in romance books! Excuse me while I run to go and pick up The Christmas Fix to read Cat's story now!

This was genuinely such a good time and now I can't believe that I've never a Karla Sorensen book before now! I'm a sucker for the single parent trope and I love sports romances too. I get the feeling that if you love the tight knot family from Devney Perry's Edens series, you'd enjoy this one too. I am 100% going to go back and read the rest of the series too now!

This was an amazingly well-written memoir and such a brilliantly narrated audiobook. I really hope Jennette McCurdy writes more in the future because she's clearly got a talent for writing!

This was so gloriously weird. I had a very hard time explaining these stories to people but god damn I tried! Such a brilliant collection of weird and wonderful stories. I can't wait to read whatever Kate Folk writes next!

This was a 4 star read until it suddenly wasn't around the 70% mark and then the narration style got to be too much for me in the last like, 10 minutes of me reading this book and now this is a 3 star read. That last 10 minutes of annoying and preachy narration literally just ruined my goofy feelings about this book. I really enjoyed the couple and all of the characters though, I do think that Jack and Hannah were slowly getting to know each other (which I enjoyed) and then suddenly it was 0 to 100 and they were in love?? I was genuinely confused and thought my audiobook had skipped ahead.
Other than the annoying writing at the end (it pops up throughout the book but it was too much for me at the end) this really was a fun story. It had me smiling a whole bunch and I was definitely cursing Robbie's name the whole time! If you're looking for a closed door romance (no steamy scenes) you should pick this up!

I’ve never read a Jamie Wesley book before today but I can guarantee I’ll be reading more in the future! This was so much fun and full of A+ banter. Also, that epilogue ending??? I can’t wait for August’s book!

I genuinely cannot believe I'm saying this right now but Matthew Reilly, this was not it. If you know me at all you know how much I adore Matthew Reilly's books but oh boy, my most anticipated book of 2022 is not only Reilly's worst book (that I've read so far) but, it might also be one of my least favourite books that I've read all year. It's a great action story because of course it is, Matthew Reilly wrote it after all. If you're a fan of the tv show The Boys then I'm sure you'd love this bloody action-full superhero story. But, that's really all this book has going for it.
Every character in this book is a glaring stereotype, with two, in particular, being quite egregious and very uncomfortable. The villain is, of course, Russian which means he rapes women, is a serial killer and is just an absolutely atrocious guy. Ya know because he's Russian so duh, right? & the other is that the only gay character in the book is "gay and fabulous" *insert hand flick and pose here* and that's basically their only character trait. I couldn't even tell you their name because they were mostly just mentioned as 'the gay one' who only talks about clothes and being gay.
I love MR's books and usually don't mind if a lot of his characters (particularly his male main characters) feel the same or act as cardboard cutouts. But, he tried something new with this one and it was an absolute flop for me. Mostly this was just a confusing mess of flashbacks and short present-day scenes until around the 80-ish% mark when the main character finally does something. This felt really rushed (probably in part, because it's a novella) and was absolutely not the vibe.
