This wasn't bad, it was actually really easy to read, it just happened to also be incredibly tedious and I think it aged me about 20 years into the future, so there's that...

This was a fun add on to the Time Paradox audiobook (no idea if it was in the physical addition too, I literally had no idea this existed until yesterday so I also had no idea what to expect. It was fun getting to "see" some old familiar faces from earlier on in the series and what these few chapters made me realise is that I would totally be down to read a story from Holly's pov, even though she's more of a "conventional" protagonist compared to Artemis Fowl.

I'm a little bit flabbergasted by how long it took me to read this one because I genuinely adore this series and I usually really love time travel stories (+ I loved Artemis' take on how time travel works). So I'm honestly going to put this down to me being a bit slumpy, because every book in this series is solid. Honestly, I haven't even finished this series and I already can't wait to reread it!

That's a no from me, folks! Honestly, I don't think I ended up liking anything about this book except for maybe Mairin, but I didn't even like her the whole time... I honestly think for me to have enjoyed this the author would've had to have rewritten the whole thing.

"Outside the world was ending and the snow continued to fall."

I have no idea what to say about this book, it was fantastic and never more real to me than right now. This was incredibly difficult to read considering the current state of the world, but absolutely brilliant. There's nothing like reading a road trip book about a Shakespeare troop in the aftermath of a global pandemic.

Trigger Warnings: Panic attacks, isolation, quarantine, sickness, pandemic, sexual assault, a religious cult, unhealthy/toxic relationships, cheating in romantic relationships, rape, suicide (on page), murder (on page), "selling" young women to men, women as objects

It's like CC completely forgot this was supposed to have a plot and somehow I've just read 600 pages of romance.

The fact that I almost burst into tears finishing this! We literally saw Bitty grow up in this series, and especially in this book! And, like?? I'm weirdly so proud of this fictional character and his many accomplishments??? Y'all I was having so many feelings reading this that I gave myself the hiccups!!

That was so cute I might actually combust! Also, I'm living for this new trend in graphic novels of soft bios with moustaches supporting and loving their friends! So wholesome! 💖💖 I absolutely can't wait to read book 2!

I'm not entirely sure on my thoughts on this book yet so bare with me. But, I think this was a very well-written, hard to read book that I honestly probably need to read a second time to fully grasp. It's a great exploration of friendship, relationships, abuse and mental health and I definitely recommend it, just please if you're sensitive to anything in media, check out trigger warnings first because Sally Rooney doesn't shy away from anything!

Trigger Warnings: relationship cheating, domestic abuse, physical and mental abuse (big theme), depression, sexual assault, suicide, alcohol & drug use, casual racism (addressed & called out), depression, death of a parent (in the past), unhealthy/toxic romantic & platonic relationships, rarely eating (female), anxiety, suicide ideation, panic attacks (not on the page), uni student counselling, funeral, death of a friend, bullying, grief
(there also might have been a biphobic comment earlier in the book I can't quite remember)

I simultaneously have all the thoughts and no idea what to say. I'm glad this series is over, it's part of my childhood so I can't really say I wish I'd never read it, but damn it really doesn't hold up to today's standards! What a mess!

Read this series or don't but, if you have the choice, do not listen via audiobook! I listened to the audiobook narrated by Ilyana Kadushin and oh boy, never again! I'll definitely be avoiding any other books narrated by her in the future.

If anything, I'll give SMeyer props for writing a 700 page book that you can read in a matter of hours. Also, for making Edward less prominent in this book, because after Eclipse I wasn't sure how much more of him I could take.
