Aren't you tired?
It's amazing that a book can be an absolute pleasure to read while also being based around the most depressing themes. I absolutely loved this reread!

It's almost 2am in the morning but, I've done it. I've finished it. I'm having a lot of trouble putting into words how much I loved reading this and gradually getting to know Addie. This was very much a "character" book and I loved that about it. Schwab takes her time with Addie and her story but it never feels like the book is dragging or being prolonged because we're just in it, learning about Addie and going at her pace. I absolutely loved the experience of getting to know Addie and I already can't wait to re-read this!

Good but not groundbreaking. There are some things I'll take away from this though, so it definitely did its job.

Disturbing and horrific in an authentic but "hard to look" at kind of way. As always, this was fantastic and angsty and dark and had a great secondary theme of family, but oh God The Joker was hard to look at. I'll definitely read the next volume but I hope this Joker plot is over soon because I prefer to learn about the other villains!

"What he knew, he knew from books, and books lied, they made things prettier."

I don't know what to say. This book was so well written and the characters so well developed that it's a hard book to fault. But, when it comes down to it, I didn't enjoy reading this book. I feel accomplished now that I've finished it like I've achieved something big in the reading world and my life. But this really was a miserable experience for me, though I'm thinking the constant rain and storms around me didn't help. I had to have a day off from reading this somewhere in the middle to distance myself from the book and the characters because reading it was leaving me in a foul mood.

All in all, I'm glad but not glad to have read this. I thought that by reading this book I could invite myself into the conversation but now that I've finished it I don't think that I'll ever want to talk about it again. I read this and it was a hard road to travel and it's not a journey I will ever recommend to anyone. This was an incredibly well-carved, intricately thought out and detailed book that takes you through the span of a young man's life and the traumas he experiences, but please know that this book does not romanticise trauma and pain, Hanya Yanagihara is incredibly honest and graphic and never shies away from the terrors of Jude's experiences or the repercussions of those experiences. Yes, this is a well-crafted book, but it won't be stomachable for everyone and it shouldn't be. It's a horrifically hard book to get through so, please look up trigger warnings before starting this juggernaut and use caution. Stay safe.

A strong sequel! I loved it so much I managed to finish it today in my lunch breaks and couldn't wait for any opportunity to pick it up. I highly recommend this series. The writing is so smart and I LOVE this version of Batman, he's probably my all-time favourite.

I really enjoyed this one and I can see myself continuing it but maybe in anime form since I prefer watching the show!

As an HoH person this was an incredibly difficult read and I had to take *a lot* of breaks, but it was worth it and I can't wait to continue in the series!

The most I know about Sabrina is the little bit I watched from the show as a kid and as always, Kelly Thompson has made me want to go back and read/watch all the original material! She completely found the balance between the spooky and how clumsy teenage life is! I can't wait for volume 2!!

An interesting storyline but it felt too long. Great artwork, though.
