Definitely, my favourite book in the series so far, who knew I was such a sucker for the grumpy guy and soft gal who have to work together and oops they fell in love trope! So much fun, if I was going to re-read any of the books in this series, it would be this one!

Revealed in the second half of the book - the main character was touched and gaslit by an older friend of the family when she was a child. At first, her family doesn't believe her (she tells them YEARS later).

In a new all-time high, I managed to read this not only PHYSICALLY but in just a few hours. This is huge for me since I read almost exclusively via audiobook and whenever I don't, a book will take me days - weeks to finish. I wasn't so sure about this one when I first started it but by 40% mark, I was having so much fun! I'm usually not a fan of second chance romances but Lyssa Kay Adams has changed the game!

I definitely enjoyed this one more than the first book. I actually liked the main characters and I thought the children were hilarious!

I didn't *love* this but I did like the writing and the humour/tone so I'll definitely continue this series and I'll check out some of the author's other works.

Not my least favourite in the series at all, but it did take me the longest to start to enjoy and I found myself stopping and doing other things a lot which didn't happen with the other books. I did like Lucy and Gregory though, this was my least favourite ending in the whole series.

These two are absolutely adorable, I just wish they'd been slightly closer in age because there were moments where I felt like Hyacinth didn't act 22, but a bit younger. That might be because we watched her grow up throughout the series but I'm not sure.

So much fun, I absolutely loved getting to know Hyacinth and Gareth and I'm glad Lady Danbury got more page time too, she's one of my favourite side characters!

I really didn't think I'd like a book in this series more than Penelope's book but here we are. I loved how Julia Quinn explored grief, unrequited love and then the friends to lovers trope, I never felt weird or uncomfortable about Francesca or Michael, though some of the other Bridgertons annoyed me at times. This might be my favourite book in the series so far and I honestly couldn't be more surprised about it considering how much I disliked the previous book.

Wow okay, so... yeah. I had no idea what I was getting into with this one. It was really short, to the point where I think it affected the book and the story. I feel like we just get to see random scenes from an overall story. There was an interesting plot that we never got to see and I would've appreciated getting to know the side characters in more depth. This had an interesting setting and I really enjoyed the dynamic between the two love interests but none of it was explored because this was a novella. So, all in all, this had potential as a longer story but fell short because it was too short.
Isaiah has ptsd from the war, this is explored through sound as certain louder sounds effect him.

This was such an interesting and informative book. I definitely preferred the first, more fact-based half of the book to second more self-help half but it was a good read all the same.
