This collection blurred many lines and showed so many truths about what life has felt like for our author. You can immediately pick up on the struggles faced and the things she's held dear to her. There are quite a few references to so many things.

I wasn't sure for a bit about how I would be rating only because poetry is a mystery to some and answers to others. It's ever changeable on a case-by-case basis. These are fantastic works to understand when she's overcome tragedy and life-altering decisions.

Every chapter of this book made me crave every single food described. I absolutely loved hearing about the food and drinks I've never seen or tried and I really think it helped immerse you in the family dynamic and their culture. The mystery that comes along with it was a great bonus because I wouldn't necessarily come out of this and think it fits great into that specific genre.

There was so much detail in every other aspect that it felt more like the who did it scenario was a side quest or little adventure she happens to take and not necessarily the main plot point. But that's not to say I didn't absolutely enjoy it and thought it was a refreshing take. Our main character was likable and while the end results were slightly predictable it felt satisfying still to find out.

This novella was so inviting with its cutesy cover and sweet storyline. I enjoyed the little taste we got of Monica's story and her road to finding someone better and telling her parents what she actually wanted out of life.

I was honestly sad it was so short, it felt a little unfinished in a way. It was taking on SO much and did beautifully but it fell flat when I still expected more depth that you just can't get in that little of a time. Hopefully, this will be branched out and given more one day!

This absolutely enthralled me in a very folk horror, mind-bending creepy way. I'm excited that there's a sequel soon because wow I already hate that I have to wait after the cliffhanger it ends on. Our scientific team of researchers really gets way more than they bargained for on a trip through a very horrific forest.

That at first, they think is playing tricks on their minds when they stumble across a body. There's so much more to play than that and it takes you through twists and turns you won't see coming.

The writing and vibes of this story are absolutely immaculate. I loved the journey the author took us on and the slowly unraveling paranormal mystery we uncover as they are stranded near this dark and haunting hotel and room 9.

Our character's relationship was so interesting to watch unfold and the sweet pining love makes you hope they get out unscathed and flee. I would have loved to find out more about why exactly this place was haunted and why that hotel. Maybe some more backstory for our characters, but other than that it had me interested the entire time and it was purely enjoyable.

Wow! This one was absolutely crazy from start to finish for me. There's so much to think about as our main character and her sister make their way to Backravel to discover the truth behind their mom's lifelong obsession after her death. There are some insane elements to this one as we unravel the strange curiosities that stem from this strange little town and why they do things so differently.

It keeps you guessing pretty much the entire book and the ending shoves it at us and waits for us to be undone by it. I think for those who love a bit of mystery and sci-fi mixed with a low-key romance this is most definitely for you. It's something unique and tantalizing in the best of ways.

First a HUGE thank you to the author for an advanced reader copy in exchange for my honest review.
The overarching theme I picked up was a story based on familial ties and the things we do for those we love. Whether it's the family we're born with or the family we make along the way. Loved our little start with the twin's mother and the backstory and emotion it evokes for characters we haven't even met yet.

I think the first few chapters were a little slow so once you hit the climax of the plot it started to feel a lot more interesting. It gave you the relief of knowing you stayed for something really enjoyable. Our author's world-building was fantastic, especially for her debut novel. The detail she managed to add really gives you insight into what she plans for the future and how our main characters will react and be treated.

And I love writing that can make you absolutely love side characters and hope for their return in the next book. It's an emotion-driven swirl of betrayal, fae politics, and love. Not to mention the subtle re-telling of Snow White and Sleeping Beauty was so charming to see and very original compared to others.

We have slow-burn, one-bed trope, who did this to you, and a few others. So if that's your vibe you should definitely pick this up! It's full of adventure and shenanigans that want you to come back for more.

Thank you to the author and publishers for an advanced reader's copy in exchange for my honest opinion!
Something about this book was so simple but unique. The simplicity of a character being overcome with anxiety, fright, and writer's block. Of how she's terrified to be nothing but just as terrified to be something.

The uniqueness of our author's personal knowledge of the behind-the-scenes on a stage and the music biz in general really leads us through something so real and foreign. The love story was easily a way to give our mc her power back in a time when she felt like she has nothing. It shows everyone can hit rock bottom no matter where they've been before in life.

You can feel an underlying snark to the words written and it absolutely adds to the story. The subtle but frank humor had the pages flipping in a steady beat. Can't wait to see more from her!
