Is this a book lovers dream? Probably! The setting of this was absolutely stunning and the authors writing style picked up every description and branded it into our minds. Antiquarian books, famous book fairs, thieves running amuck, and love with the security? All the makings of a fantastic story! Not to mention the secrets and suspense!

I loved this way more than I thought I could. I am a sucker for the vampire x vampire hunter especially. The authors writing is absolutely gorgeous and is SO atmospheric you can feel the culture and lore right under the surface. The banter in this is another beautiful experience, I couldn’t get enough. If you’re looking for vampire quest-y adventure with enemies to lovers you’ve hit it!

Review coming!

I LOVE THIS BOOK AND THE COZYNESS IS SO GORGEOUSSSSSSS

I wasn’t sure what to expect going into this one, I first saved when I saw it compared to Fallout (hence the nuclear destruction and living off the surface of earth) storyline!

Honestly I completely ate this up. It had fast pacing with some great character development thrown in, the book starts at the plot so you really are just tossed right in. I loved the descriptions of the underground prison and “city” compared to the wealthy luxurious top class in Genesis who didn’t reside under. Khalani pretty much thought everything I thought so it was a fun time reading from her perspective and how she interpreted the world. And I mean Takeshi was such a broody, neurotic, grump but in the BEST way. Plus there are some MAJOR twists and dives throughout this book but especially right at the very end. If you’re hankering for the classic dystopian YA novels or anything in that general vibe, you will LOVE this. I think that’s why the nostalgia had me devour it.

Look out soon for the 2nd book!
