A wonderful book that made me question societal and basic concepts of time, in a way. It made me think a lot about the relationship between time, sunlight, and the human body. It makes me want to do better in my life and to put some of the lessons into practice in my life.

I'm not feeling this book right now and want to focus on other things. I will be trying this book again sometime in the future.

A fun exploration of multiple facets of death and the funereal industry. My favourite sections was the essay describing why cannabalism shouldn't be practiced (except in life-or-death, extreme cases).

Reading this as an audio book may have been a mistake for two reasons:
1. It wasn't narrated by it's author, a podcast host. *sigh*
2. I had a hard time listening to the many scientific names of the plants (and their descriptions) which would have worked better for me in a print format +/- illustrations or photos.
It was still a nice non-fiction exploration of plants with a rousing call to arms to defend them.

A beautiful, heartbreaking love story that really subverted my expectations. I had a tough time getting through the first half of the book, but then it really picked up and I was glad I stuck with it. I found it hard to read about Dannie at times because I found her quite unlikable, especially when it seemed she was going to betray her friendship, but ultimately I was able to empathise with her character.
