A cute, short read that felt like a love letter to readers and the act of reading alike. Highly relatable as a person who has recently gotten back into reading, and plans on continuing to make my reading a priority.

A lovely, emotional memoir. I found myself really empathisizing with Hilarie and a bit envious of the sense of community that she was able to foster in the Rhinebeck community. It makes me want to start getting involved in my own community.
Textbook for an exam - would never have 100%'d it.

The author used really strange analogies in an attempt to describe paleontology that was off-putting somehow. When I reached a section first comparing a prehistoric creature to a lean, greyhound dog I had a good image in my head. He then went on to describe the same creature as 'like an emaciated model'. That's where I drew the line.

This book deserves a reread once I can give it more focused attention.
Had to set the book down to focus on other life things - I'll be starting from the beginning when I pick it back up.
