I love this random encounter turned scandal turned fake boyfriend plot. I love that it's set in Texas and how the author incorporated the ban of books and lack of education funding was woven into the story. I enjoyed the interaction between Alexis and Logan and seeing their character development both individually and as a couple.

Of the series, I was most intrigued with Stella and Christian's story. I was curious how Christian got this wealth and why he was so secretive. I am not gonna lie - I loved this story until Christian's morally gray actions. He had no regrets with his actions and that just did not work for me.

Thank you @prhaudio for a copy of this. This was a mix of Gladiators and Hunger Games dystopian. The audiobook had a fantastic casts of narrators and did a phenomenal job narrating the story. With the flash backs and all the characters, it was hard to keep up with the audiobook and I think I lost interest along the way. I love seeing the back story of each character and could see how it was going to play out.

Another amazing story from one of my new favorite authors. I love this friends to lovers story between Maddie and Nash. I love how they both loved each other and pining in the story was so good. Maddie has a heartbreaking story and Nash has always been there to support and be there for her. The narration was perfect for this.

Thank you @read_bloom @netgalley for a copy of this love story. It starts with what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas between Grace, a law student, and Chase, a porn star stuck in an elevator. I love how the story started and the weekend they had in Vegas but was annoyed with Grace continuing asking why he called her buttercup. I think in real life, if someone asked that and gave an answer, you don't ask it again.

I love that they randomly reconnected 5 years later and there was so much growth in both characters. I didn't enjoy how Grace handled her situation as she questions her decisions about love. Overall, I enjoyed the story about each of their growth journey - especially Chase's journey.

Thank you @celadonbooks @macmillan.audio for a copy of this who done it murder. The book starts with the murder of a wealthy husband and wife and I was interested to see what happened. The story is told in multiple POV and the story slowly reveals how these characters intersect. I like the themes explores in the story from being a struggling single parent to doing what's right and wrong. With so many POV, I didn't feel there was much depth into any of the characters

This book discuss some heavy topics - death of a friend, AIDS, cancer and has a much somber feel then the Guncle. The book focuses of 4 friends that formed a friendship in college and and told in dual timeline. I love the found friendship between these friendships and how despite not staying in touch, they were always there for each other. I thought it was so cool that the author asked to used @jordys.book.club and his husband's name for the 2 main characters. There were so many touching moments that makes your appreciate their friendship and love.

Thank you @prhaudio for a copy of this audiobook. This book is the perfect summer read. A story about Sam, who is engaged and married planning her marriage to Jack at her family's beach side home. She crosses path with her first love, Wyatt, and starts questioning her life.

I enjoyed seeing the flash back of Sam and Wyatt's young love and what led to the breakdown. I struggled with how Sam handled her feelings with Wyatt and her lack of communication with Jack. Overall, I enjoyed the narration and pacing of the story.

Thank you @macmillan.audio @netgalley for a copy of this audiobook. Let me start by saying that this book is dark and gruesome. The book starts with a stand-off at an elementary school and a beloved teacher is shot to death. The current sheriff, Titus, is the first black sheriff and faced with the challenge of this crime plus the town's view on him.
The story is well told in Titus' perspective as relates to his relationship with his dad, girlfriend, brother and the small town. I love how the book discuss racism, religion besides the crime. This book was just a little too graphic and dark for my liking.

Thank you @tulepublishing @dreamscape_media @netgalley for a copy of this interracial romance. This is the 2nd book in the series and I didn't read the first and it was a perfect read as a stand alone.

This story is about Rachel, who is moving to San Francisco, is a bit socially awkward and strikes a deal with Luke to help his business if he helps her be better at social settings.

The story was cute and the narration had distinct voices for the two characters. I enjoyed seeing Rachel's growth and finally standing up to her family. The love story between Luke and Rachel was okay but nothing too memorable.
