Thank you @readforeverpub for a copy of this debut book. A book told in past and present showing the relationship between Quito and Emmitt. I love Mr. Cruz and what an amazing teacher he is. I wished I had such an inspiration teacher in high school. I enjoyed the book but wished the reveal of their rub was earlier and we could see Emmitt and Quito present relationship develop more. Overall, a heartwarming story.

Thank you @henryholtbooks @macmillan.audio for a copy of this book. Set in a small town in Louisiana, this was a charming story about a gay wedding. I was expecting a fun full of laughs and fluff story but it was so much more. It's about a mom coming to embrace her son's sexuality and his partner. It's always about a town coming together as well. I love the references to 90s sitcom with all the animals on the farm.

Thank you @stmartinpress @macmillan.audio for a copy of this this book. This neighborhood drama ad similar vibes to Little Fires Everywhere and I enjoyed how it all started with a block party. I listened to this and there was a lot of characters to keep straight. The book started on strong and lost my interest in the middle and came back with a great twisty ending. This is a perfect summer read.

Thank you @prhaudio for a copy of this book. The beginning of this book got my attention immediately and I was drawn in by the story line of Sloan and Whit losing their spouses and coming together. Add in the drama of politics, this book was a perfect political thriller. There were parts that I love with what was going on with Sloan. The "bad" person in the story was easily identified in the beginning but there was a twist I didn't see coming. The narration was great and really portrait Sloan and her state of mind.

Thank you @blondethrillerbooklover @jamielynnhendricksauthor for a copy of this book.

I love the premise of the book which is similar to Thrillerfest and one of the thriller author is murdered. The story focuses on 4 individuals that have a connection to the deceased author, Kristin Bailey. I liked that each of these individuals have some hidden secret that could be exposed and how this created fear and trust no one feels. Twitter played a big part in the book and I am like the message it played about people trusting whatever is tweeted. However, there was so many parts that was tweets that it felt over done. I guessed the twist but it didn't impact my enjoyment of the book.

Thank you @berkleyromance @prhaudio for such a fun audiobook. This was such a surprisingly delightful debut book about grief and an unexpected road trip with an acquaintance of Millie's ex-boyfriend. There was so many funny moments with Millie's sunshine and trusting personality balanced with Hollis's grumpy demeanor. I love how the road trip forced them to get to know each other better. One thing I always hate is insta love and I love how this was addressed in the story. The dual time line of Mrs. Nash's story added a great element too. The narrator did such a phenomenal job with all the voices and bringing the story to life.

Thank you @getunderlined @prhaudio for a copy of this audiobook. The moon cake in the title got me interested in this book. This was a sweet queer coming of age romance between Dylan and Theo. This book is compared to Crazy Rich Asian which it does have some similarities and I enjoyed the dynamics of these ultra rich families. I really enjoyed Dylan's relationship with his family and how close he was with his aunt and cousins. The romance between Dylan and Theo was sweet and I liked how Theo was such a charmer and so subtle in helping Dylan.

Thank you @scribnerbooks for a copy of this book. I love the previous book and was excited to read this. Unfortunately, this was a miss for me. This was a book about a marriage in crisis between Malcom and Jess. I was confused a lot by both of their actions and the story was very slow paced.

This was a fun read about Darcy who returns home after a failed marriage and job. She finds that her parents are in Arizona and she is in a funk. She turns to the local community board and starts forming relationship with some of the people in town. Darcy's actions seems a little immature for a 30 year old but I still found it entertaining. I love the eclectic group of friends she finds and how they helped her heal.
